How did Bayern line up today? Unable to watch the game, many thanks in advance.
Tedesco is also still trying to figure it out…How did Bayern line up today? Unable to watch the game, many thanks in advance.
Appreciate this, judging by that it seems the width on the right might be an issue if this is the “big game” lineup moving forward, unless Serge is acting like a f9 drifting wide to the right and Mueller cuts inside.Tedesco is also still trying to figure it out…
I would say something like a 3232 in the first half?
Neuer
Pavard - Upamecano - Hernandez
Kimmich - Sabitzer
Müller - Musiala - Davies
Gnabry - Mané
There must be a website that shows average positions at halftime.
They lost their rhythm after the substitutions and the shift of the formation.
Sorry if this seems rude but I have been wondering for years now why you keep misspelling Leipzig. Is it some sort of inside joke that I am missing? What's the reason behind RB Leipzeg trying hard to sell Angelino. I understand they want Raum but Angelino has been pretty good for them since joining and they even spent a decent amount of money to sign him permanently last season.
Don't get the logic behind wanting Raum.when they already have him.

I've been made fun of that previously here. I wrote Leipzig first for this post, but then remembered I got mocked for it and then changed it to Leipzeg I guess I've been permanently traumatized by itSorry if this seems rude but I have been wondering for years now why you keep misspelling Leipzig. Anytime I read "Leipzeg" I immediately check the author and think to myself "ah yes, it's him" Really don't mean to be a dick about it, I have paid attention to this for longer than I'd like to admit.I've been made fun of that previously here. What I find even more baffling is that Angelino is willing to join Hoffenheim. I kind of get the thought of signing Raum, because he might fit their playing style even better, and I also get why Hoffenheim wants to replace him with Angelino but what's in there for Angelino himself? Surely he has much better options than Hoffenheim. He's a player who could have easily joined a UCL club. What's the reason behind RB Leipzeg trying hard to sell Angelino. I think Angelino isn't willing to join (makes sense), which is why the deal is being stalled. What I find even more baffling is that Angelino is willing to join Hoffenheim. Being a wing back limits Angelino's options quite a bit, being kind of physically weak and perhaps not having the best attitude does so even further. It's a bit like Guerreiro or your old school no10. You look at the talent and you think there must be a place for them in your team, but then you look for a concrete spot to fit them in and it's never really there. What I find even more baffling is that Angelino is willing to join Hoffenheim. Yes, pretty much my thinking as wellI think Angelino isn't willing to join (makes sense), which is why the deal is being stalled.
Hoffenheim are a good team, but yea Angelino can do much better especially as a LB. Wonder why City aren't interested in getting him back given their struggles to sign the Brighton LB.
Yeah, but on the other hand, inverted fullbacks are becoming quite a thing. Cancelo, Trent, Zinchenko, etc. So it's not really as if his position is fully gone like the classic 10. And Angelino is really good, even in a typical LB role he has lots of technique to make up for his lack of speed. Wouldn't say he's slower than, for instance, Carvajal, Mazraoui, Chilwell, Alonso, etcBeing a wing back limits Angelino's options quite a bit, being kind of physically weak and perhaps not having the best attitude does so even further. I think suggesting that IWBs are becoming a common thing or that Angelino even fits into that category is quite debatable.Yes, pretty much my thinking as well

He's much better gonna forward than Schulz I think, though I will admit I never thought Schulz would be as bad at Dortmund as he has been.Tweet

Official. Leipzig have found the necessary space in their budget.
Never rated him anyway, Schulz 2.0, etc
Wouldn't want him for that horrible neck tatoo aloneTweet

I was joking by mentioning Schulz, there is of course the similarity that he's mainly excelled as a wing back at Hoffenheim and most clubs would have bought him as a LB, but it's not his fault that someone else flopped before him. He's much better gonna forward than Schulz I think, though I will admit I never thought Schulz would be as bad at Dortmund as he has been.
Raum is defensively very limited though, which is why I don't want him to be the NT left back in a 4 man defensive system.
Actually the four forwards/wingers/offensive midfielders yesterday were acting very fluidly and interchanged positions very often. Müller was not on the right wing more often than he is in every other match. As long that is made somewhat with systems and the players know what the other does it is fine with Müller who always has a good interchange with whoever is the right winger. Not sure about calling it the „big game“ lineup.
All the new players bar Mané started on the bench and Coman is not at 100%.
It remains to be seen if there even is such a thing as a default formation like the 4231 that had been around for 10 years with only Pep tweaking it (4141) a bit.
And I am with you, Müller should play centrally and the right wing needs more width.
Well Freiburg's in trouble as we speak...those 4 unlucky Bundesliga teams who drew a 2. Bundesliga opponent definitely have a more difficult task than the rest. These Sunday fixtures are so depressingly boring. I struggle to even imagine who could produce an upset today.
Even Schalke scored a ton of goals. Schalke!
Yes, Freiburg were a candidate, but I had to omit them from my post for dramatic effect.Well Freiburg's in trouble as we speak...those 4 unlucky Bundesliga teams who drew a 2. Bundesliga opponent definitely have a more difficult task than the rest.
I'd say dribbling is a strength of him. Not in the Davies manner of course, but still. Generally a player as good on the ball and at crossing as Angelino should have no problem to find a better club than Hoffenheim. Chelsea for instance or one of the Italian clubs or Valencia/Sevilla/etcI think suggesting that IWBs are becoming a common thing or that Angelino even fits into that category is quite debatable.
I'd say he's best the further forward he can wait for the ball. Dribbling or carrying the ball doesn't seem to be a particular strength of his.
I don't think that quote is particular bad, but I don't understand why Bayern allow him to have such a public profile.

No idea how they lost that game..at half-time it felt like they were gonna win 5:0.At least Hertha don't disappoint.
Unfortunately I missed everything before the pens.No idea how they lost that game..at half-time it felt like they were gonna win 5:0.
Pretty epic game for neutral viewers though.
Aren't you watching Union? ^^Thankfully I've only tuned in recently, but this extra time is pretty hard to watch. Still, it's perhaps Hertha's last chance to shave their season salvaged, so a lot at stake here.
Think that was the jokeAren't you watching Union? ^^
It was an extremely funny joke about Hertha's season going to be so bad, that Union losing in the cup would be its highlight.Aren't you watching Union? ^^
I kinda want to see how Union handles things when they finally go through a rough spell though. They already had to deal with a lot of typical crisis triggers:I kinda want to see how Union handles things when they finally go through a rough spell though. So far their Bundesliga experience has been remarkably smooth, even their first season was relatively drama-free.
They're eventually gonna have an underwhelming season and it'll be interesting to see how good they are at dealing with crises.
Edit: I Just checked Union's history and the past 20 years have been pretty amazing. The last time they had a really poor season was in 2004/05 when they got relegated to the fourth division. Ever since then they've usually had one average season when joining a new league followed by a string of top 10 finishes until they get promoted to a new league and do the same thing again.
More or less in order...Predictions for the season anyone? Assuming no major ins/out
