Did that remind anyone else of the Lesnar-Big Show stretcher match at Backlash 2003?

Great main event. For something that you would have expected to bore everyone given that they've booked it too many times over the past few years, this Brock-Reigns match was actually fun.

It was the right decision to keep Roman as champion but I wonder where and when he'll lose it, and to whom.

Ha really enjoyed the main event (although wanted Lesnar to win). Great way to end their rivalry.

Lesnar looked like a monster in the end.

Yeah, can't imagine they'll have Drew beat him at Clash at the Castle. Also feels like he'll not lose it to a cash in from Theory.

Have a feeling Theory will cash in at some point, but unsuccessfully. Just doesn't seem like the right way to end this championship run.

Losing it to The Rock at Wrestlemania next year and then winning it back?

First off, Bianca is good. Shes cool. Although I'm not sure about her character as a face, as she's super arrogant but the crowd cheers for her and thats most important

However

I think its hilarious that her ring style is now more flippy flips than Ospreay Vs. Ricochet. Not that this is a bad thing, just that with all the complaining people used to do about those matches I bet we dont see any of it now its a WWE woman doing it.

Finished watching other than skipping several matches I had no interest in.

WWE last man standing matches always do this. Twice Roman was up to 1 foot not 2, whilst Cole called out that hes up to both feet reestablishing that those are the rules. Thats already bad but then you have another match previously where the storyline is that someone tapped and the ref was counting a pin, messing up and they drew all that attention to it, but then lied about what was going on in this match when the referee is messing up not stopping the match. When its a gimmick match like this its even worse because its the whole point of the match and you can't even do it properly.

An Uso took a Big E landing on the outside, I feel like they should just ban people from doing belly to bellies on the outside of the ring. Its not needed and too many people are landing on their heads and necks risking permanent injury

No matter how naff the TV is, WWE PPVs rarely disappoint.

Great show, loved the main event... Feels likes it been far too long since we've seen that version of Brock.

Not sure this needs to be in spoilers but:

At least it washt as bad as the Roman vs Owens last man standing match where they couldn't get the handcuffs off Roman, so the ref got to about 8 then just stopped counting and tried to disappear off camera, then sort of pretended he'd been distracted by something in the crowd, while Hayman and Reigns spent about another 30 seconds fecking about with the handcuffs before he could actually stand up

I feel if nothing else its kind of a symbol of where WWE has at least gone massively uphill recently in terms of the quality of ppv matches

What a legend...

That's actually an excellent photo in so many ways. You got the last man standing sign in the led board, and he's sat in carnage laughing with his cowboy hat.

Beast incarnate doesn't even begin to describe this man anymore.

I haven't seen it, nor do I have any interest in doing so - but did Ric Flair do a blade job?! Why? And why is anybody with sense allowing that to be a thing that happens?

The same reason Vince took a legit headbutt from Kevin Owens at 70 a year after Shibata almost died from doing the same thing

These guys are considered such a big deal that you cant tell them no

So heres a picture of Becky Lynch's injury.

Alvarez called it happening as he's had a seperated shoulder from the exact same fall. This is why theres a safe way to do things and then there are ways that end like this. The particular thing was Bianca took her up almost for the Glam Slam early in the match (2 arms behind her lift and fall forward) and something happened and she rotated forwards and landed on her right shoulder. So the rest of the match was with this injury.

Again, one of the suplexes gave I believe to Jey Uso on the outside he landed right on his head almost exactly like Big E. That is not the safe way to land

And this stuff hurts. Especially when the adrenaline runs out and your body is trying to adapt to and heal the trauma the next days. Even when you do it safely. So when you are doing unsafe things like these its really bad. Obviously its not just WWE, other promotions do it too but it was always said that WWE works safer than the other promotions so when they dont, it should be notable. Credit to Becky for carrying on injured and I hope it didnt make it too much worse. And credit to Jey for standing and carrying on, doing a superkick and holding Heyman up when I wouldnt be surprised if he has a neck injury. I dont think he did anything that would make it much worse, mainly because it wasnt his match. If it was his own match they would have been best off throwing up the x

He'll have as much influence as any majority stakeholder would. Which is still influential, but I imagine in more of a financial setting rather than anything creative or business decisions.

For example, I wouldn't be shocked if hunter has already been on the burner to Sasha.

Summerslam had to be Michael Coles best performance since the uk ppv with Nigel McGuiness right? He was brilliant, just calling the action and probably not having a madman scream at him to sell every other thing.

Summerslam was great. Really really looking forward to clash ppv now. Atmosphere should be great

Raw was great. Felt like a wrestling show, not just brand development or advertisement opportunities.

Just finished Summerslam and have to say that was the best wwe ppv for a long while. And as a huge brock critic even I loved that match, hats off to both guys and to Cole with his least irritating shift in 20 years.

I just hope it doesnt suck. The 2k22 game is pretty good and would be hard to match first time around overall, but at least the graphics look a bit closer to 2k's level than before

Yukes and THQ have made some good wrestling games before, so there is potential to be surprisingly good but realistically its going to be on half the budget of a 2k game so if its almost as good it'd be an accomplishment and give AEW fans a good alternative

Foley talked about his stint as a commentator in 2008 and he mentioned getting increasingly unnerved with McMahon barking instructions if Foley forgot to mention something. He said that he couldn't continue doing that and that people probably always gave Michael Cole a tough time without realizing how difficult his job actually is. He constantly has to hit all the McMahonisms without fail, and if he neglects to mention how a certain "superstar" is trending, or how the "sold out capacity crowd is buzzing as the WWE universe shows how much they're entertained", he'll get an earful.

Apparently they’ve sunk over 100m into this. I wouldn’t be citing lack of a budget for the end result

I believe Tony Khan cited the expenditures on this game as one of the reasons they aren't doing as well financially this year as they may have been expe
