There's a lot of that going on in this thread. There's tireless work going on to spin every negative tweet/story, or to discredit reporters.
Then there's those who believe every bit of negative news regardless of how stupid it seems or unreliable the source

If what De Jong says is false - what benefit do Barcelona get about making lies about United and not being a big club?

This Ornstein chap should be banned here for posting whatever nonsense he wants to spew. If the current deal is annulled, FDJ could sign up for another club in only 18 months time and leave for absolutely free in two years. And Barcelona would still owe him all of the deferred wages even if they're successful in getting the revised contract annulled.

In what economic world will that benefit Barcelona? Clubs are willing to give them £75m++ today.

If there's one thing we can take away from this, it's that the Spanish media HATE United. God knows what we've done to them
Wow.
The way we have been disrespected by the Spanish press during this whole debacle is soul destroying.
Jealousy. United is the only non-spanish club that is challenging real and barca popularity across the globe.

More of a case of what we have done to ourselves, just look at us post SAF and there is only one we are moving it and it is not upwards.

Ten hagg literally said just before the match that they are not going to buy just any player he's not going to change his mind after one match.
What I meant he was on the radar but after the match we expedited the process in panic mode.

The cant believe a player from one of their star clubs would join such a mess in United.

That prick on Sky Guillem Balague used to have the exact same smugness about him when a Barce/Real player was linked with a move to the PL until the PL completely blew La Liga out of the water in terms of quality and entertainment.

Seems some either want him so bad or were so sure he was coming that they feel any negative news or views have to be challenged. Personally, I don't think it's that serious. Everything is a rumor until it's confirmed. Even positive news.

If FdJ were so opposed to going to Utd, then why would Utd have persisted for over 13 weeks? And we know he's been in contact with ten Hag so would he have not told Erik this? Has he been lying to Erik this whole time?

And you can very credibly say that Utd are mismanaged, badly-run, and an unattractive prospect but the implication that Chelsea are a "Big Club" and Utd are not is something of a joke

I think its clear from the racist 33 year old striker and arguably over the hill CM targets that we have no fecking idea what we are doing.

After the last 48 hours its perfectly conceivable that we were in this because we are really really thick and cant take a hint.

So …

FdJ: I won‘t join United no matter what.

EtH: I definitely want Frenkie, we want the right players.

Something doesn’t add up.

We did last year, relatively so, and it ended in tears. Time to accept we're just doomed as a club and are paying for the deal Sir Alex made with the devil all those years ago
No RB no midfielder and a 37 year old striker.

Nah not a good window at all.

Well that ETH comment has been fed through the Chinese whisper machine hasn't it?

Bullshit of the highest order.
It’s so amusing that people will lap up anything random on the internet.

Barca are getting really desperate. All of these are attempts to get us to pay the deferred wages which Chelsea are ready to do (as per Ornstein).

He wants to stay, he has a contract. He can force Barcelona to pay him, in court if needed, I doubt it will come to that. There's not much they can do that won't simply worsen their financial position. They have to use him if he's staying.

It's one of the most bizarre transfer saga's of recent times. Only second to the Messi nonsense where Laporta would renew him until suddenly they couldn't.

Doesn't seem like a coincidence that both stories included Barcelona and their shambolical finances

Soooo He wants to stay at Chelsea. He doesn’t want to join Utd. If he was to leave Barca, he only wants to go to Chelsea. Looks like he has to leave. Chelsea speak to him and he says no to them. O_____K.
