Players are just not adapting to his tactics. He will do well to last till Christmas at this rate.
Ffs. It’s the players who shouldn’t be playing for this club and eth given free reign to rip this team to pieces and rebuild. Ddg, fred, mag, mct, rash etc need to leave the club before we can improve - as well as the owners

Moyes like arrogance to dismiss the chance to meet with Rangnick for advice and come up with his own transfer list at the last hour.

He's a good manager but the task at hand became incredibly harder with those decisions. The club doesn't help but I sure as anything hope they'll give him time. I will be patient but critical as anything. Let's hope he is ruthless.
While I agree with you there is also gonna be internal politics. You get impression his employers weren’t very happy with Ralph calling out their failures. I dunno, when you stat a new job do you do stuff to piss off your boss?

I was ridiculed when I said the only manger that can sort out shower of shite was Diego someone. Ohhhhh but noooo, we don't want that type of manager here. We want hipsters. Well how's that working out??

Simeone would fail here.

Do you see this squad being able to play like Simeone needs?

Just like ten Hag, he'd need a squad overhaul. And, just like ten Hag, he wouldn't get it.

He has been dropped into no man's land by an inept run club and a team that haven't got a scoobys.

I see a lot of journos or fan pages telling ETH to walk away. No doubt he hasn’t been helped by the board but at the same time we’ve only played Blackpool and Brentford. Do we need FDJ to beat them?

He chose to bring in Martinez over Pau Torres and played him today over Varane. There has to be some level of responsibility on him for that.

It’s way too early to make any decisions and ETH must be backed and given time. I just don’t buy that he should be completely blameless in todays shambles.

Bruh, look at Dalot and tell me what are the odds Laird can be worse than that. If you don't test these kids, you will never find out if they've got it or not specially when the starters are pure garbage
You are better than Dalot. The older gentlemen on here are all better than Dalot. He's absolute piss.

Still backing ETH. Squad is the problem. Needs time and different players. Glazers aren't gonna do what it takes though.
The squad is the problem but he's played a part in how it has been shaped going into the season.

Do we even know he wants to get rid of those players? Seems like wishful thinking more than anything.
It was more just a hypothetical to ponder whether the club would back him in that manner - we all know Mourinho was infamously overruled on his want to remove players like Pogba and Martial at one point.

Although saying that, if ten Hag wants to retain players like Rashford and De Gea as key members of his side, he’s kind of asking for failure.

He knew the physicality of the PL but signs a midget defender and wants De Jong who isn’t the strongest when it comes to power. What are they doing in training?

What exactly is the blame?
That super high line for a starter. You don't play a super high line with two slow CB. Then trying to play out from the back with DDG. Even my dog knows his distribution is shit. Then play a short CB in the fecking PL. Probably the first time someone did so in the PL ever.

And tbh do anyone here has an idea what was our offensive plan?

Just shows how uninformed you are. Thanks atleast the board has some level of common sense.

He needs to realise that the Premier league is the best in the world. And coach and demand at that level. Any player that does not/cannot play to your style, just bench.

Formations ? I have no idea what you are trying to say here. Tactical setup, style- it's fecking 2 matches and you will see plenty of mistakes. If you aren't ready for that, stay out of it. If it makes you any better, this is going to get embarrassingly bad before it gets better.

He doesn't need 100 games in the league to realize that playing with no defensive midfielders in front of a 2 slow defenders, one of them is a midget, in an away game in PL is a fecking suicide.

If he doesn't have a defensive midfielder he should have played with at least 3 defenders and throw in Varane in the mix to offer some more protection. Yet, he left the defense with zero cover with such awful tactical setup.

What, it's as if he thinks he's still managing in Netherlands. Huge disrespect to the opponent and the league.

I'm ready for mistakes but I'm not ready for awful tactics.

While I agree with you there is also gonna be internal politics. You get impression his employers weren’t very happy with Ralph calling out their failures. I dunno, when you stat a new job do you do stuff to piss off your boss?
That's true. I'm probably speaking with a lot of pain. Think it was reported widely that c suite wasn't happy with Rangnick's openness.

Definitely need to channel it towards the owners

Starting a midfield of eriksen, bruno and fred when you have a front 3 that is terrible at pressing is so tactically naive I can only laugh. He is not only going to fail here, he is going to set us back another 2 years.

All these excuses. No one is asking for miracles , but you would think he would be able to stabilize the team.

Why is maguire still captain? Please tell me? Thats an easy decision. He is clearly can't motivate anyone and is barely good enough. Why would you keep him as captain?
I don't think that it was a right decision to keep Maguire as a captain personally. There aren't any good alternatives in the squad but even the likes of Cristiano & Bruno are way better options.

But ten Hag hasn't been given all the tools required for a quick and effective — neither in terms of new signings nor in terms of selling the deadwood (which is most of the squad, really). For now he has to somehow get the best out of perpetual underperformers and that includes playing some players that ideally shouldn't start for United. Why does Maguire start? Because Lindelöf, Bailly & Jones are even less reliable & Varane had fitness issues. Why does Rashford start? Because the only other option is to bench him for an 18-years old. Should he have benched Maguire for Varane, play Iqbal & Garnacho? I would've certainly preferred if he did. But I'm not going to slack the manager for giving a chance to players at the very beginning of his tenure.

And who said he needs 100 games ? Again , I have no idea what you are trying to prove here.
3 of the goals were mistakes. How exactly is that his so called awful tactics ?

The club are going to go full on PR offensive and start blaming Ralf for all this when we get smashed off the dippers
Ralf?! He barely got the mandate to pick his own starting 11, so it’s going to be funny seeing them trying to pin this on him

I think there is defiantly an argument that Ten Hag has underestimated the step up in quality between the Dutch league and the premier league

100%

I think he expected the likes of Rashford, Bruno, Maguire etc would be like driving a Rolls Royce compared to what he's used to. A slight bit of arrogance also to think he can get that running like nobody else has managed. Instead he needed an open and honest conversion with Rangnick about the issues, seemingly the only man that could recognise it.

I already explained his awful tactical setup in the post. I'm not in the mood to repeat what I just said.

The clubs fecked. End of.

Shite group of players he was left with.

He should of taken up that job offer in Germany instead better equipped to work with.

Brentford players ran 13km more than Utd players. That's the manager's fault is it? These players are lazy cnuts. It doesn't matter what manager we get in, nothing will change.

He is a nerd… as such, if really smart, he is going to resign this evening and let the club hierarchy hang out to dry.

Mate we are playing Brighton and Brentford. Not top teams. He should have got rid of rashford, shaw, maguire, fred mctom, every one of those players is clearly not good enough. But also we played two at best decent teams are you telling me we can't do more than we did against them? That's on the coach.

Hate to say it but someone like Conte wouldn't have been rumbled like this

Many of us knew it. If there was a slight chance if turning this team around it needed an extremely firm hand. Instead ETH is trying to be everybody's best mate. Which I get if you're not aware of the nature and character of this squad, but he should have been.

Our baldd fraud is actually a fraud, 2 matches --> 2 suicidal lineups, what a shame. Had so much hope from him.

He should be winning against Brighton and Brentford with the players he has, cant have excuses for lack of signings etc.
But what has been worse has been the tactics, in both matches we have been very easy to play against and ourselves have had no penetration or attacking threat, simply passing it between the GK and defence. We have had single digit Shots on target even when we've been a few goals down in the first half of both games.
Seems he is out of ideas to respond to going goals down. It does not look good.

I dont know what your dog knows so let's keep him out of the discussion. Distribution was only one of the reasons for the goal. How exactly would you define other mistakes? Lack of concentration? Lack of shot stopping skill ?

Well yeah, because the way we set up meant the only running we were ever going to do was back to our own goal when we give the ball away

Lets throw another manager under the bus and keep the circus going shall we?

To be honest I, for one, think ETH needs to be given time. However, as fans we must be willing to call things out even it that means criticising the manager when he deserves it. I have no idea what targets have been set for ETH this season., but at the end of the season his performance should be assessed in light of them. It is fairly clear that Ten Hag has taken on a challenge far bigger than even he imagined. If he is up to challenge it is going to take a while, there is no doubt about that. But he needs to be given the time.
