This thread needs to be shut down. The last one of its sort was Sancho and see how he's stinking up the place nad he is someone who actually wanted to join us.

Yes he is a good player but will he have the motivation to actually run do us in this team as it stands?

Another luxury player we don't need
We dont need a CDM?

I really interested to know what the fiscal requirements are in case of paying off an employees salary (no matter how it’s being parceled) surely the Spanish fiscus would have something to say about that??

Kounde can be registered if and when Auba and Memphis leave, Dest also an option to go. Pique and Busquets may revise their contracts also.

Frenkie would only absolutely need to leave if we are to sign Bernardo Silva.

Ultimately it's down to the player himself of course and I think it's crystal clear by now he wants to stay, we shall see.
It just isn’t though, is it? If it was truly down to the player we wouldn’t have seen all the pressure tactics from your board and president, you wouldn’t have agreed a deal with United or tried to sell him to Chelsea through intermediaries.

I thought I read earlier in this thread that it would be most likely illegal so not sure where that tweet is coming from about us not wanting to pay the 17M Euros

Yeah we don’t need a world class midfielder who links defence to attack. Not one bit. Got loads of them actually.

I really don’t think he’s going to make a 4 goal difference against the likes of Brentford or stop us getting lashed by Liverpool or city. There is something rotten in the dressing room and that needs to be sorted before any major transfers can be expected to have the desired effect

Is today the day? Or do I have to wait for another day for it to be the day?

Might have been in a better place to receive that pass from De Gea

If Chelsea get hammered by Spurs tonight, our chances go down, I think.
Nah it wont. We are sitting tight until FDJ indicates he will leave. Result this afternoon wont have a bearing.

Roger Torello of Mundo, who is pretty good, is saying Barca now believe selling Aubameyang will help them land Silva, as FDJ is still refusing to go; and they're looking for different departures to enable the Silva signing. Auba is one

I didn't say we don't need one we need it badly. Am asking do we really want to add a player who is reluctant to move, how motivated is he going to be with us. We already have players who don't care enough to try

Because at the end of the day it is about quality. de Jong is performing exceptionally while his club is running a media war against him and is threatening him with legal action. That is a player with exceptional mental fortitude. So he is technically skilled, consistent and exceptionally strong mentally. That is precisely the kind of player we need.

Jesus, posts like this from a full member and I’m sat here still gathering likes as a new member. Obviously the dramatics are a recent addition to your posting or you’d be sat here with me!
No I just don’t see the point or if there was a point go out and get a proper physical CDM like Ndidi or Bassouma for £20-30m he is a luxury and if he comes I’ll be the first to say I was wrong but Jesus why have we not address the fact that we need a high energy physical CDM for over 6 or 7 years. That’s my point why are we seeing McFred again why ?

Did Xavi really say "he's not a substitute" after using him as a substitute? Gotta be something lost in translation there.
Turns out he said he wasn't a reserve (which makes a little more sense) and he's important but he also says Aubameyang is important when they're trying to sell him too. He then seems to suggest the whole squad could be sold.

Frenkie de Jong is not a reserve player, I've said that several times. He's an important player for us. I don't know what will happen, but if Frenkie stays he will be important to us. Just look at the situation he played in today.

"I am counting on him (Aubameyang)," added the Barca manager. "I'm really delighted with him, he can help us. Those I am not counting on already know, they know won’t play. Between now and August 31, different things can happen, but I like Auba, he can help us.

De Jong is the same as Auba, he is important for me. He’s in the squad and we will use him. I don't know what will happen between now and August 31, but not just with Frenkie or with Auba, with almost everyone in the squad.

So you truly believe Chelsea are going to spend £80m on Fofana, then another god knows how much on a striker or two, then possbily another €100m on de Jong too?

Shouldn't we already hear new movement on this after the shambles of yesterday or is Murthough still busy dating Rabiot's mum?

Probably next week i'd imagine. United will likely go into panic mode and literally go a little mental i bet

Truthfully I'm starting to think the money isnt there. Fail to get Top 4 and CL next year and we will have to start paying sponsors for consecutive seasons out. Then next years budget is cut a bit too. It does seem that the club is dry just about.

I wonder if our morons are watching this game? Maybe they'd see what a press looks like.
The difference between Chelsea’s pressing and speed of play compared to what we’ve been doing is pretty scary the difference in levels.

It’s got to the point where following this transfer is just a welcome distraction.

I want this transfer to happen just to bring some feel good factor despite knowing deep down it’s probably still not enough to make a huge difference without further changes!

It’s actually probably too late to make enough changes to not have a mediocre season. We needed at least 4 more players to go straight into the starting lineup. We just aren’t going to find 4 starters so late into the window.

Right now, getting 6th will be a tough challenge.

Imagine thinking he's coming here. We aren't in the CL and it's going to take an absolute miracle for us to be in it next year at this rate.

FDJ is not going to waste 2 seasons minimum of his career in Europa League of even worse not in Europe at all.
