Some random bloke on twitter called Ross Harbour or something said its done (deferred wages sorted) and hes coming soon. I am making him Tier 1 and believing Ross has cracked the case
Sorry to burst your bubble but..

That £1.5 billion loan write off is something I don't get. Why do City need to do clever accounting and inflated sponsorships to stay in line with FFP when you can just keep taking a loan from a head of state and have it written off after a while. Surely there is something I am missing.

FDJ announced before the game to soften the blow, Rabiot announced after the game to cool us off. maybe they should reverse it?

Factor in they've already spent about £170m, about to bid £50m for Anthony Gordon, about to bid over £70m for Fofana, in the market for a ST and now about to sign this kid. There's no way even the most swerve accountant can tell me Chelsea have £71m to spare for FDJ
Didn't include him in my view on the situation, because it all went a bit cold on him, but now this is gathering pace again. I'm even more confident.

From memory the vast majority of that loan was for club's infrastructures. Which isn't limited by FFP

Sounds like Rabiot should be announced during the week possibly in time to be in the team against them on the weekend.

Still think the FDJ links the last day or 2 are pie in the sky stuff and we won't get a real resolution to his future until deadline day

Felt bad for him - he said he never even watched the thing. He was getting tagged all over the place poor lad.
He loved it. He complained when I used the word shit in a post and didn't tag him. Although he could have been playing along and crying on the inside. He also pretty much asked for it though. Never ask for a tagline. It rarely ends well.

He'd be giving up two years of CL football by coming here. Just can't see him joining after the start to the season we've had.

I will never forgive De Jong for the points dropped to Brighton and Brentford :wenger:

Barca is playing chicken here...I still think this is fairly simple. FDJ would want to stay, but not at a reduced salary. He's still trying to figure out if thats possible by playing hardball. Once thats sorted...by him either having the right environment to stay, or knowing it won't work...he has given some assurances to us that he would come. All of the news backs this frankly if you just sift through it objectively...

So I think its very much still in play.
