he's always saying shit he doesn't follow through with

I'm not his fan so I only know three of his saying. One is the twitter the other is the the Starlink in the Ukrainian war. And this United one.

Most people don't even know about the one you mentioned I think.

Let’s be honest. It’s just the money and that he’ll pay off the debt, invest in our infrastructure, and our revenue will go to signings. In recent years he has all the characteristics of an eccentric billionaire who could easily turn United into a vanity project like just guy who was at Cardiff and spend billions but make us worse.
Honestly I don't think we can possibly get any worse.

I've been thinking and I've decided it's a joke. His you're welcome at the end is what makes me think he is joking. It might be some kind of way showing engagement with his Twitter to show something to Twitter?

Edit: looks like he has come out and said its a joke.

This may not be an issue as his statements are aftermarket.

This one is done. Wish he'd shut up for a bit longer so there was more pressure on the Glazers, but whatever. It was obvious he was wumming it as per usual. Hopefully someone actually takes notice of the situation though.

Only reason I might see this happen is it'll give lots of exposure to Tesla and Musk's vanity over having millions of United fans supporting him. United can be a good walking ad for Tesla and his other companies, that's for sure. I don't know, he might appreciate having millions of white knights at his disposal. That's a power of its own and when you're that rich, supporters start becoming more valuable currency than pure money. At any rate, as I said, it's too good to be true.
I can see a strong reason for that considering the expected competitive pressure that they are starting to face and will certainly face in the next few years.

Must be someone who sees how much engagement that tweet got in 3 hours. I thought it was a joke because of all the tweets he gets asking him, but hoped/thought the reaction would make him think. Plus after being prepared to buy Twitter for £60b buying United is cheaper but gets the same, maybe more publicity and strategically is a good second choice. Who knows maybe a seed gets planted and he considers it and for now has just killed it to stop his tweet effecting the stock price when pre market opens and avoid future issues

. Well it was a fun thought exercise while it lasted. He could have at least left it a day. We only managed 9 pages!

He should sack the board and make rangnick dof and give him a 500m transfer kitty to splash in one transfer window.

Yay we can fly our space cars to our new mars houses and kick back and watch man United struggle the same way under ownership of another greedy prick businessman with zero interest in football.

Gonna paste my response from the transfer speculation thread that mentioned this -

***

I don’t think he’d be a problem tbh he’s so busy with his other stuff I doubt he’d be that hands on with us.

Imagine it though…Tesla or SpaceX as the shirt sponsor. Joe Rogan and him puffing a blunt in the directors box. Would make for an interesting era.

Does anyone know if he can say this as a joke or because it’s a public traded company or whatever does it have to mean something?

I know his Twitter trolling has got him in trouble before, when he said the 4.20 share price joke and the whole cave diver incident…
He’s A twat who engages in market manipulation with impunity.

Another one of his jokes that’s worth a couple of billion on the stock market. Will never happen, but I’d rather have him with all of his baggage than the parasites we have leeching on the club now.

Musk treating it as a serious investment? Yes please. Musk treating it as a meme and banter, would be the worst outcome possible.

Haha, yeah, use our poor club as a joke. Laugh it up, everyone. Manchester United are a joke. Woo-hoo. Bloody hilarious, innit?

Amazed this made it to nine pages tbh. He would undoubtedly be preferable to the window fitters but he is still an absolutely colossal bellend and it would get old quickly watching him use us for attention.

He is an idiot, we'd be an official circus if he actually did buy us

Thankfully he's not and just looking for clout from basement dwellers
