Buying a sports team and making/keeping them successful is generally is a loss-making venture, business wise.

Unless you are very passionate about the team, its bad business.

I heard one condition of the deal is the Manchester United Supporter's Trust need to change their new to the Manchester United Supporter's Klub

I dont think so, you just need a lot of competent people in key areas and it won't lose you money. United make enough to be self sustainable and the club can maintain its value.

But what I suggest earlier as a 1% possibility. In his billionaire/private equity circle, maybe he may have heard that the Glazers are shopping United around. That's why this joke suddenly popped out of his head.
Well, I guess that 1% possibility and the timing of the Elon joke were right.
