If all done in time, he could realistically start Monday. He plays with Fred regularly for Brazil and he's shielded in front of Varane for years.
DDG
Dalot Varane Martinez Malacia
Casemiro Fred
Sancho Eriksen Rashford
Martial
Best 11 for big games right there. Let Shaw, Maguire, Bruno and Ronaldo work their way back in if they can.
Unfortunately that really should apply to Sancho and Rashford as well. Hopefully we can get another attacker before the window shuts as well

Spanish journos are saying we have, close to 70 which was their valuation all along
So we are expecting an official announcement regarding the fee tonight then? If not, I don't think the medical is happening so soon.

Can't spell Mkhitaryan
Can we give the guy a chance before writing him off already.

I don't know why the fee bothers people so much, we need a DCM, we've got a world class DCM. Enjoy it

This happened so quick I didn’t even have time to unzip. Left here holding my flaccid cock in the corner after the orgy had finished

DM's can play at a similar level well into their 30's. Also, he's arguably the best DM in World football. He will eventually start to fall off, but his positioning etc. will still be as they were, he'll be at least a good player until he's done here.
Yep, people ignore the fact that Fernandinho played the same role for Pep from age 31 to 36 in the PL.

Was amazing in the CL final and certainly dosen't seem broken.

Amazed Madrid are letting him go. I know they have the young French lads to give more game time to but I assumed they'd rotate with Modric and Kroos more.

Amongst the carcass I think this is an amazing fit for you guys as the DM, certainly better option than putting De Jong as a 6.

Mind you I said all this about Varane 12 months ago.....

My firm belief?

Casemiro a significantly better signing than De Jong would be.

Mentally incredibly strong, a serial winner, actually really wants to join the club and is up for the challenge + FINALLY replaces Roy Keane.

His defensive stability is what we desperately need and I am all for it even if it is only for 2-3 seasons. Exemplary professional.

Should work well with Fred too

However, the contract will be heavily incentivised, so this season, he may not necessarily be earning up to that amount.
Shows that he backs himself to make the difference.
We sure could use that confidence (even if misguided) of his.

But have they not given the money for transfers , £1b at the last count, its just been spent badly.
It has been spent badly because the Glazers have been awful at appointing the right people to create a football team.
They would’ve been better off sticking pins in a list as that would’ve at least saved on bin wages spent on so called experts

It seems Madrid don't like to stand in the way of players wanting to leave especially the veteran players that have given their all for the club. Madrid were desperate to keep Varane last summer and offered him a lot but Varane wanted a new challenge and Madrid respected his wishes. Same is happening with Casemiro.

This is crazy. Can't see how he's going to get in the starting XI however with McFred occupying the position.

Really need a winger to compete with them, either to give them a kick up the ass or bench them when they're out of form. I know both of them have talent where they could be very good players, but they've been so far off it. Antony would have been nice, but anyway. Id take a loan even.

Well, we wanted a holding midfielder and he is one of the world's best...

Can't complain.

Makes us look so much more solid
Clear where we need to strengthen though.

I'd drop 50 million on Caicedo tomorrow.
He’s a much bigger risk. This fanbase is obsessed with the idea of a young player staying at United for 10 years and being amazing throughout. Barely ever happens. Remember how Shaw was expensive for a left back at the time but “we’re set at LB for the next decade”. You’ll probably find the phrase word for word if you search this forum.

A Shaw or AWB is a much more likely outcome when spending a lot of money on a young player. And yes, occasionally you get a Rio, Rooney, and Ronaldo, but we’re not in a position to take these big risks for possibly big rewards, when the team is absolutely shit now.

I’ve not really paid much attention to Casemiro when I’ve watched Madrid, which isn’t much more than the odd classico or CL game. But, does he offer much other than tackling?
