Gerard forgets the 3rd option. He stays and gets paid his contractually agreed wages.
Yes we can confirm it will be one of those three options. Every minute of every day since he got there he has been doing one of three things, either:
1. Leaving.
Or
2. Staying but reducing his salary.
Or
3. Staying and continuing as per his contract.

What a joke.

His current situation: get paid huge amounts of money, playing at an elite club going for all trophies and settled in a beautiful city with his fiancé. Not sure many footballers would want to change that.
His current honours

0 x La Liga titles
0 x UCL titles

He’ll watch Madrid lift the honours again this season. He’s looking forward to that.

Surely FDJ actually hates Barca now. I sure would if I was him.

Pretty sure they will still want him to leave so they can bank the fee (or spend it). I still think we can get him.

Just noticed that the only trophy that Barca have won in the time he has been there is a Copa del Rey. It's not like he is swimming in success there like Casemiro was in Madrid.
Yeah but these brains washed barca fans will have you believe they are ready to collect multiple trophies. FDJ has won jack all so far.

They’ve spent a shed load of money and still ain’t near the level of Real Madrid. As for the UCL, they’re in cuckoo land if they think they can win that.

The brief is out. Pursuit for this summer is done. Shambolic.

You’re honestly going to argue the De Jong chase hasn’t been a complete embarrassment? Good luck.
We went after our number 1 target and when it was clear we couldn’t get him we got a world class replacement. Chill.

I personally blame pocco for giving this thread bad vibes when it was all looking pretty good. His fault.

Nothing like the same player. Casemiro on his own solves little. This will be shown.

We did all we could short of bribery.
I don’t have a problem chasing the deal. I do have a problem with not signing an alternative much quicker so we can at least try and not get spanked by Brighton and Brentford. The only way the wait would be justified is if we got him, it just looks ridiculous now.
