Time wasting in extra time is never a good idea. Allows the ref to add x amount of time.

To be fair, Newcastle wasted so much time and attempted to play no football in that second half. They absolutely deserve that. Just annoying those cnuts benefited from it.

Pope being down for ages and then a corner. That was all Newcastle's own fault for not just time wasting and killing the game in the corner. Would have sapped the life out the last minute and Liverpool wouldn't have likely had multiple chances to score (Salah's shot, corner, scramble, goal).

Surely Mariner needs to be looked into - Pope was down for no more than a minute yet he gave 2 and half minutes. He should have blown after Newcastle's chance but, looked like he absolutely wanted to give Liverpool another chance at least. If am Eddie Howe and Newcastle, I'd be absolutely livid.
Absolutely disgraceful refereeing. Pope goes down for exactly 53 seconds in 5 additional minutes of stoppage, yet they end up playing an extra 3 minutes for a total of 8 minutes of stoppage. Hard to watch sometimes when matches are decided at the whims of refs who admit they alter outcomes based on personal choice.
