It happens every bloody week yet puff pieces in the press about him all the time, PR in overdrive.

It's beyond cruel to keep playing him tbh.

This England team does not play wing backs, Shaw and James play LB and RB next to to 3 Cb's.

Watch Chelsea and Tottenham play with wing backs and Perisic/Emerson and Chill/James are always joining attacks high up the pitch and in and are always in around the box on counter attacks basically becoming wingers.

James and Shaw hardy cross the half way line in this team and are never even in the picture when we counter attack/launch a quick attack. It's literally just Kane, Foden and Sterling max on every attack every game.

We don't score goals because Southgate makes the front three do everything on their own.

Normal attacking full backs get forward more than Southgates "Wing backs"
Have you been watching the game, at all?

Nailed on for Qatar, you say Gareth??

Maguire's head must be gone now. Surely he must be thinking of the inevitable abuse ringing around the country and on the socials right now. Poor fecker.

At this point, it's beyond cruel to watch Maguire as he's clearly done mentally.
I feel the same way too. He’s done mentally and will not recover as long as he’s in the pressure cooker of Man Utd and the England team. Needs to reinvent himself somewhere else

Werner is like the german attacking version of Maguire. He is also more a meme than a footballer at this point

In a funny way I feel sorry for Maguire. His confidence is shot to ribbons. He could do with moving to somewhere out of the spotlight because the pressure on him - both on here and in the Press - is relentless. I suppose if you are earning big money, you have to take it on the chin but it is getting beyond plain criticism. You could argue that Sterling has been more instrumental that we are behind

Naw, tbh, I feel bad for him at this stage, Southgate should have known to protect him like ETH has, stupid management.

Werner already challenging Maguire for the joke of the game title

Someone on 5 Live said earlier that Southgate was absolutely right to leave Ivan Toney out as it was important to keep their rhythm going.
