He does my head in. Can't say anything good about us at all. If we play well he'll say 'but it's Manchester United and they've spent a billion pound, its the least you should expect' type nonsense. Says we couldn't have played well against Liverpool cos we had 30% possession and yet against Brentford we had 67% possession and were shocking
Simon Jordan as well. Both of them grind my gears.

Has it been that long, time flies when you're having fun.
Still in Perth?

I've been there many times for my son's sport and because my sister-in-law usually lives in Freo. We love the place and we might try to move there in the next year or two.

I guess he's working to the no publicity is bad publicity line of thought. If he came on and was all nice and jovial, he'd be too boring and he'd be phased out for someone younger. Him going on talk sport and spouting nonsense is getting people talking about him and sharing the clips.Keeps him and whatever channel he is on in the public eye.

Yes, am now in a suburb called Innaloo. Are you in Sydney, I have a son in Engadine who is an 'outside broadcast engineer' and when United were here 3 years ago his company did the broadcast for United TV. He managed to get across and got media tickets for us both for the Leeds game so watched from a media box at our new stadium. Good view and had a chat with Stan Lazaridis on the way down.

Despite the evidence, don't go that route Why not? He's demonstrated prejudice even against women's football and not retracted his statement or apologised even in retrospect. Is it not likely he has bias in other areas?
In fairness, mens football is a man’s game.

I know where it is. Inland from Scarborough where we stayed once.

I now live in Annandale in the inner west of Sydney. We were in Townsville QLD in the early days of the Caf then a year in Dubai followed by 15 years in the Blue Mountains to the west of Sydney.

I love WA and property is so much cheaper than NSW.

There's a great video out today by Tifo Football about Martinez and the height of CBs and how it is not the be all and end all when it comes to defending even against tall attackers.

I can't link the video as a newbie, so would be great if somebody else can.

Somebody should also send it to Souness and the other mouth-breathers at Sky and TalkSport.

Just as plenty of shorter strikers can be good in the air. It’s just such daft old-fashioned thinking.

Martinez is too short, Casemiro is a steady Eddie, ETH is this and that. The man is either trolling because he knows he brings nothing to the table other then controversies or is just ready to retire. Should be ignored imo. Or in my case, laughed at.

They'll write him off for as long as they can, and when it hits that critical mass where they can't possibly deny he's actually a good player, they'll say he's "improved". They're obviously threatened by him, and he's an easy target at the moment.

I think a huge percentage of us were initially worried at having such a short centre back. This isn't just a Souey thing.
However, he's looked really good so far.

But there's bound to be times we meet some aerial beast of a team, but am sure our manager is knowing enough to sort things accordingly.

Even if we played prime Stoke, we could stick Maguire in the back 4 with Martinez as a LB and we'd manage fine.

Its absolutely fair to be worried if his height was a problem initially though, hes a small player, Souness problem is that he is beating this drum despite evidence to the contrary hes actually done well aerially since he signed because he has a good jumping reach and he is aggressive.

It would be sorta like talking about McTominay's negative attributes after a bad game but then still saying he had a bad game at Leicester yesterday etc. It means you aren't actually looking at the facts it shows a biased perspective, either for United players or foreign players who knows, but it is a bias either way.

Shock he gets paid a tonne of money to be antagonistic, controversial and anti United. I think he plays the villain well and he was right about Pogba. He’d have wiped the floor with him. Doesn’t meant he isn’t an idiot or he’s wildly wrong about things. He’s just there to stir people up.

Yep, absolutely. He's rarely going to praise United, their players or manager, unless we stuff city 5-0 soon, then we might get a modicum of praise.
Most pundits just go with whatever is in their heads at the time they speak, if Sounds was always praiseworthy, then he probably wouldn't be in that seat.
These are pundits, not 'experts', there is a difference.

When Simon Jordan explained that Fabio Cannavaro was the same height as Lisandro only for Sourness to reply with "I trust me eye, don't trust Wikipedia and stuff like that" was a special moment

Just said Martinez isn’t good on the ball and basically shat on him for his height just now.
At what point do these pundits start to lose work with shite like this?

You listening to that as well. I had been out and when I came back switched radio on to hear that. Switched to another station.

I stick it on Alexa when our in kitchen on the morning. It’s like a human zoo for me.
He’s justifying it now because he called Pogba a pudding before anybody else. It’s worth a listen

How in gods name can he say he isn't good on the ball, that is one of his big strengths.

Seriously? The size thing is at least a semi-logical concern to have, which has disproven so far, but to say he is not good on the ball is just mental. He is probably the best on the ball of the CBs I have seen at United.

I am not a fan of it but maybe United should do a Red Bull and complete refuse to talk to Sky. It might cost us a bit but it's exactly what SAF would have done with this ridiculous argument they keep pushing

Guys, he is on radio/tv to do exactly this...start conversations and keep the media company relative.
