I'm desperate for another completely clean Ecuador goal.

I want to see how brazen they're willing to be.

So after all that corruption talk, the hosts gets one of the dodgiest VAR calls in a while in their favour after five minutes. Great start.

It is ridiculous how many people don't understand the offside rule. It was close call, but probably offside.

Actually it probably is an offside, the goalkeeper came out so he isn't the second man.
what are you talking about he is way behind valencia. are you in VAR?

Corruption has already started. Where the feck was the offside in that?
and so it begins, nothing fecking wrong with that goal, utter bullshit, there was no offside , not even close, there was nothing.
How the feck was that offside? Seriously

feck this world cup.

feck off
Cheating already.
I'm sorry, but how was this offside?
The initial flick on header from the long ball, the keeper was ahead of the player that the ball dropped to and only 1 defender playing him on, so it's offside. It was tight, just his foot is offside by the looks of it.

I hate VAR, ruins the game when you can't celebrate a goal because you know there's a very good chance it's getting overturned.

I don't like conspiracy theory and I don't like hysterical reactions. But is this the most clear corruption ever at a world cup?

He was offside though? Only one defender between him and the goal when the other attacker headed the ball.
Yep, this is my understanding as well. They haven’t showed a proper replay yet but this is what I thought.

Home teams normally get a bit of help but that was blatantly obvious of them fixing this, hope they get smashed now.

Offside is second-to-last defender. In this case, the keeper. Not clear-cut but also not "clearly onside" like some are suggesting IMO.
it’s not even close with the proper camera angle

Corrupt country who got a corrupt WC gets a corrupt call. I am totally shocked (sarcasm)

WC 2002 has some competition because these Qatar folk are under way

You just want something to moan about. Why are you even watching? must be torture for you

I can still watch football and not agree with where the tournament is being played.

It stinks that it's in a country with the human rights record of Qatar, simple as that.

And that decision was a farce.

The guy who headed the ball to the one who bycycle kicks it was in an offside position when the keeper went up to punch it. His left leg was offside. They must have ruled the Ecuador player got a touch when jumping with the keeper.

Not showing a replay is pretty dodgy to be fair, but from the one still we have, I think offside is the correct call
