Germany were (and maybe still are) among my favourites. No logic to that but I felt because they aren't as great as German sides in the past people might forget/under-estimate them but this shows no big name teams will be able to sit on one-goal leads any more. the "smaller" teams aren't so minnow-y any more (other than those appearing at their first WC)

They weren't scared before the equalizer. I think even in the first half it was pretty obvious how shit that defense is. They needed to score 2 or 3 goals in that great phase. Was always clear to me that they would concede some as well. As I said before, screw xG and the likes.
