Don't see it tbh. Serbia are too slow at the back, Brazil can pick them apart if they are at it. Can see them causing Brazil a few headaches through their crosses though.
Yeah I know most of the predictions have Neymar lighting up the world cup, but I'm expecting Vinicius to steal the show

My thoughts for the day.
Switzerland is one of those teams that never fail to bore me to death in big tournaments. Instant turn off TV for me. But I really like the Indomitable Lions and would love to see them do well. Decisions, decisions.
South Korea will provide the upset of the day against Uruguay. Just keep Federico Valverde from having a clear shot and the tempo and pace of the Koreans should do the job against an aging Uruguay defence.
Portugal to provide us with the first red card of the world cup.

Hopefully it's Ronaldo.

Switzerland v Cameroon will surely be a guaranteed snoozefest.

Pundits keep talking about protecting Kane until the later stages but they have to get there first

Swiss against Cameroon is going to be a poor match.

Switzerland like Mexico always seem to be at world cups and just produce the most dour games imaginable.

Mexico doesn't produce any good results but they are much more entertaining the Switzerland. Switzerland are just competent enough to defend themselves well and make the opponent look dour and bad too. It's lose lose with them. Only Poland comes close in that department.

I don’t mind the Swiss, they punch above their weight and make the most of the players they have. Poland is a million times worse in that department. Have better players but always a boring and disappointing tournament team.

My hope is Pellistri shows what a good player he is. I can only imagine he is too lightweight in training to be considered for the PL squads and Europe was never easy since the loss in our first game so maybe his chances have been limited fairly. But I have watched him several times for Uruguay and he looks more than capable. Really clever player. With VDB and Elanga really not deserving minutes and Ronaldo gone…this might be his chance to really kick start his Utd career.

Does he usually start for Uruguay or is he more of an impact sub?

Cameroon used to be one of the best teams in Africa but they seemed to have a bit of a dry period in terms of talent lately, glad to see them back at the WC after missing out last time. I checked their line up and there's a few names I recognize and respect from France and Italy + very decent Mbuemo, Choupo-Moting, Onana. Defence looks anonymous though.

It really is a footballing miracle how Uruguay continue to produce world class players with only a population of 3 million. That’s like 1/3 of the population of london.

They must surely have the highest number of top class footballers produced per population.

Great bit of play from Choupo-Moting there. Switzerland defender did just enough to put him off on the shot.

Yeah, well done to them, even won the World Cup twice and finished 4th three times. Great football nation indeed.
