Is that Rene Meulensteen as an Aus coach?
yes it isIs that Rene Meulensteen as an Aus coach?
Yeah, surprised he hasn’t got off the bench. Their midfield has looked terrible!Surprised no Mejbri, considering Tunisia are desperate for extra creativity in forward areas
They'll beat Australia comfortably I think. This is a bad result for the Danes. They need to get a result against the French
This is a bad result for the Danes.
Who do I trust! Not a bad result for Denmark.
Would the likes of Nigeria and Ivory Coast do better? Curious as to whom has the best squads in Africa.Asian sides in this World Cup doing well.
Sad to say but it's looking like another disaster of a World Cup for African sides.
Definitely side with "less pressure for today". Better to bet on beating Australia (where you have direct control on the result) than on Tunisia losing (with France potentially resting players if already qualified).Who do I trust!
Quite the opposite really. They can lose to France and still finish ahead of Australia. This is a bad result for the Danes. They need to get a result against the French
Nigeria has the best squad by far on paper imo. There seems to be issues within their football association atm though.Would the likes of Nigeria and Ivory Coast do better? Curious as to whom has the best squads in Africa.
Probably not if they were beaten by the ones who did qualify but I can't say for sure.Would the likes of Nigeria and Ivory Coast do better? Curious as to whom has the best squads in Africa.
Well it’s good result for Danemark to be already sure that no matter what happens tonight they will have their destiny in their own hands going into the last round vs Australia.Who do I trust!
Algeria (Mahrez, Bennacer), Nigeria (Osimhen, Ndidi) and Ivory Coast (Kessie, Zaha) probably have better squads than some of the teams that qualified, but they all failed somehow.Would the likes of Nigeria and Ivory Coast do better? Curious as to whom has the best squads in Africa.
Yeah it’s fantastic. Obviously great football and knockout games are great. But there’s literally nothing better than smaller footballing nations standing up on the world stage and performing. The beautiful game is right. It's shit like this, and the Iran/Wales game yesterday why I absolutely love the World Cup.
Nations with literally no hope of actually winning the thing going crazy at just winning a game, and the other team distraught at losing.
There's nothing like it.
And team harmony - watching them against Portugal, they seemed more interested and energetic in pointing fingers at who had made a bad play than actually playing footballNigeria has the best squad by far on paper imo. There seems to be issues within their football association atm though.
Except they barely beat them. Ghana knocked Nigeria out thanks to some lucky away goal. Nigeria is a much better team overall…Probably not if they were beaten by the ones who did qualify but I can't say for sure.
