Rashford has really not given a convincing argument for keeping him in the team.

Southgate is a great manager, spot on tonight. Long may he reign over the English team!

I’m probably wrong in making such a sweeping generalisation, but are North American teams lacking in great goal scorers?

Canada, Mexico and USA have such incredible energy and work rate, but putting the ball in the net is proving difficult. Composure in front of goal seems to desert them. Don’t have the numbers to back it up, but their combined conversion rate for attempts and goals must be pretty low.

Is it because they overload midfield and end up with an isolated forward, or have they just struggled to replace the likes of Chicarito and Donavon?
Could say the same about Asia as well. There is just something in player development that does not take strikers enough into consideration.

England’s players seem to have no chemistry between them. That’s the big difference with France, Spain and Brazil.

Delighted I'm not watching this pish. Any successes England have will be in spite of Southgate.

I think he just got the wind completely knocked out of him, I'm hopeful he'll be able to run it off
Looked to be holding his upper thigh. Think he took the keepers boot there. If we can get another goal he should come off and maybe be ready for Saturday.
He couldn't get a cross off there either.

I’d love some of what Jenas has been drinking if he thinks England have played well. Though I’m concerned it would turn me into a boring cnut who thinks Spurs are great.

Maguire is having a very good tournament.
I disagree. He’s a big reason why we are so slow. Holds on to the ball for too long, safety first option pass. It’s no coincidence United look so much quicker without him in the team.

I’m not blaming him for this performance because overall the whole team is doing the same. Henderson and Rashford have by far been the worse players.
