Definitely but I'm not wrong? I can't put my finger on what because he seems to have all the tools and yet something isn't there.
Composure. Work rate, intensity, technical skills is there, but knowing when to scale back and slow down then strike when still in control is a different level. He's still young and has a lot to learn and adapt to.

Yeah, that’s possibly a factor and for shirt tops I can see that, especially in the longer stands… but that wouldn’t explain the volume and when they just scored the second, that entire end looked like Argentinian fans (not just people with tops)?

Really have got great support… not 78 final support (which was mental) but very very good. The fans have helped make this World Cup… the passion, devotion, colour, tears. It’s been great so far and Im hoping with the quarters onwards that the playing team‘s fans get more and more tickets.
Argentina fans have been brilliant along with the Moroccans. .

Take away that 5 mins of sheer madness vs Saudis and this Argentina side look rock solid

Why the feck is Messi going to the MLS, when he can easily play 2 more years at the top level.
Why did Zidane retire when he did? He wanted to retire while still on top. Nit just doing a job.

He's still an absolute joy to watch.

No player has ever got me up on my feet like Messi does.

Argentina haven't conceded any chances. They are brutal at closing the game down

He has had enough of the top level ? It would make sense tbh, he has had nothing to prove for a while
Yeah maybe, still weird. Usually star footballers go to MLS when they have nothing else to offer at the top

We will. People surely said the same of Pele, then of Best, then of Cruyff, then of Maradona, then of Ronaldo Luis, then of Ronaldhino, and now of Messi.
There will be great players, but all those guys above had something unique and beautiful about their style and approach that can't be replicated fully. Messi might only be 50-60% of what he was but there are still moments of awe there.

Looking back it's a real shame guys like Di Stefano, Best, Giggs, G.Weah, etc. never got to shine on this stage, or even taste the atmosphere for a couple matches.

His best game of the 4 was the one he didn’t score in vs Poland

But in all he is absolutely delivering this World Cup
