29 so he's really 43 and he's only 5'5.Was highly rated back in the day. How old is he now?
Not really, back up to Guita at Palace for the past few yearsCan’t say I’ve been following him much. Has he had much football in the last few years?
Sounds like a permanent deal as in the article it says he's a free agent in the summer but we will look to bring him in now. It’s only a loan too
First line of the article said that we will look to bring him in for the second half of the season. But I couldn't read any more of it as I'm not subscribed.Sounds like a permanent deal as in the article it says he's a free agent in the summer but we will look to bring him in now.
It's not really conclusive so it could be a 6 month deal:First line of the article said that we will look to bring him in for the second half of the season. But I couldn't read any more of it as I'm not subscribed.
Thanks for clearing it up
There wouldn't be any point signing him if he was coming in as 3rd choice. There must be something Ten Hag doesn't like about Heaton to have signed Dubravka and now Butland to play ahead of him. Weird one too because I'm not convinced either of them are better than him, Butland certainly isn't.Wouldn't he be number 3 behind Heaton?

Won't make a difference, this money is most likely signed off for a goalkeeper anyway.Would prefer Heaton with one of the youth as backup. Save the wages gor a striker option
This ain’t the Solskjaer reign. He’s going to be number 2 for a reason. We should be going for Sommer, someone who can actually challenge De Gea...

Johnstone is a top backup GK to have. I would have rather got him back to the club.I really like Jack, has played a few games for us over the last couple of seasons and never really let us down…also had an absolute worldy away at Brighton last season which always helps.
Hasn’t managed to dislodge Guaita though and we also have Sam Johnstone so I guess the train of thought from our side is that we can better spend his wages elsewhere. Good luck to him.
The youths are better off playing with the youth teams, rather than travelling around with the first team squad on the tiny chance one of our top two keepers actually get injured (and that still only gets them to the bench).Would prefer Heaton with one of the youth as backup. Think he’s earmarked as our next No1 to be fair, Guaita is 36 now.Johnstone is a top backup GK to have. I would have rather got him back to the club.
Actually think Guaita is arguably most underrated prem keeper around. Makes the odd error but his all round game is very solid indeed and makes all the standard regulation saves you'd expect.I really like Jack, has played a few games for us over the last couple of seasons and never really let us down…also had an absolute worldy away at Brighton last season which always helps.

Won a Europa League with him as first choice the whole way through. As substitute goalkeepers go, he deserves more praise than most.Romero's time here is so overrated.
