Yes, this is a serious concern along with Juventus allegedly offering him a contract. Need Varane and Casemiro to keep him straightened out and hope that Ronaldo has no behind the scenes influence on him. Not confident he'll be pulling on a red shirt in eighteen months time.
I'm sure I read somewhere he was born in Madrid as well, it all just screams a mirror image of a young Ronaldo so far - we at most get a couple of years out of him, then RM come calling and he's off.
Hopefully like you say senior players like Varane, Casemiro, Bruno etc can help here.
The fact he idolises Ronaldo as well isn't overly helpful.

I'm not sure what we can do to try and make us seem the "sexy" option.

Born in Madrid but came through the Atletico academy. So probably didn’t grow up as infatuated with Los Blancos as he who shall not be named.

Fingers crossed then! Still remember he who shall not be named's "only God can predict the future" interviews when asked about them!

He's so excited to watch, and while he made the odd incorrect decision today, he generally made very good decisions and his work for our equaliser was brilliant.

Is there a way both he and Rashy can play in the same team or will we always need to rotate? I wouldn't want to move Rashford out of position as hes not as good centrally, and is one of our most important players at present

As we've learnt over the years, you can never have enough left wingers!

Even now we have Martial, Rashy, Sancho. One never plays there anymore, and the latter is totally off the scene at the moment.

All jokes aside about Pep's "ridiculous idea" on how to beat us at Old Trafford. What do we think that actually was going off the match?
I can't really see anything unusual about his lineup or how city were set up so I'm guessing it was all just mind games in the end?
I think it was sarcasm.
I think he set us up excactly how most fans would want us to be set up, in the most familiar way possible. And for Pep in a big game that is a bit "ridiculous" considering his form for tweaking in the big games.

After Chelsea he made a point out how we played badly in the first half because he sent out the team the fans wanted to see, he is a weird fella at times, all though I kind off agree that he gets alot of the same old boring criticism every time he tweaks something and it goes wrong, yet people fail to see that he tweaks bits and pieces every week and we usually win

Absolutely brilliant atmosphere today, we stayed in the Stretford End singing for 20 minutes after the final whistle not done that for over 10 years.

The ball stuck to him in that 1st half when we needed an out ball! Without him in the 2nd half our attack basically didn't work and city took control of the game. We didn't do anything in attack from the point he went off to the 75th minute.
It's incredible how conveniently blind people are to what he contributes.

He needs to score more goals, clear (as EtH would say), but it is so obvious what he offers with his hold up play. One just needs to see the first 20 min of that second half to see what happens when he wasn't around to do that work.

Isn't that just the stuff that most average to good 9s would do for you ..

Like yeah, he occasionally held it well and brought others into play but he offered very little else and generally wasn't moving well.

I feel this whole 'he makes us play so much better' Is true if the alternative is eriksen/Bruno false 9 or Antony through the middle... I feel the bar could and should be raised a little higher though.

Very keen to see how we look with WW up there, definitely doesn't have Martials link up ability but his effort and presence might more than make up for that.

Defining game of our season. If Spurs can do us a favour tonight then Arsenal v MUFC in two weeks could genuinely be a "fight for the title" match

Why does Grealish always turn into the prime Villa one whenever he faces us. Would have been on our side today if they had gone down in 2020

Jack's header was a tap in. Credit should really go to KDB for the inch perfect cross. Apart from picking up fouls there's not a whole lot to his game that makes City a stronger side. He would strengthened us under Ole but I don't know that ETH would have any use for him. What I can tell you is this -- I'd much rather have Garnacho in our squad than prime Grealish, which presumably we've seen over the last few months.

You should replace Jenas on MotD. Razor-sharp analysis
Out of context but, Jenas is absolutely useless how he gets MOTD . He was totally not impartial today on commentary and dull as dish water. It stuck in his throat to even attempt to give United any complements.

Yeah we kept De Bruyne quiet until then, thankfully when we got in front he didn't have any more influence on the game

So proud of the spirit we showed when behind,no doubt we go on to concede a second or third in past seasons.

Can I just say how brilliant the defence played out the ball under pressure in the first half? De Gea with smart passes to midfield under pressure was something I didn't expect at all. He usually just boot it up.
And Luke Shaw, my goodness. He looks like he plays.CB all his life. Didn't give Haaland a sniff all match

People who are complaining about Martial, it's not a coincidence that we couldn't hold onto the ball in the second half after he went off. He was great and I don't get all this 'everyone but Martial' bs. He was great until he came off and he starts in these games cos he improves us massively.

This, 100%
Weghurst will be a better player to Utd than Martial you watch. If Martial was that good why did Eric sub him off?

I read that Wout biggest strength is actually holding the ball up and bring others into play. This is what made him clashed with Dyche as he wanted him to play as a traditional no 9.
Also regarding Martial, I'm pretty sure Ten Hag mentioned that Martial had a small injury and his inclusion was game day decision. He generally held the ball up and link up well, but I think his mobility was impacted and that resulted in his substitution

What a brilliant manager ETH is.

I was frustrated during the game that Rashford was not tracking the run of Walker and thought that he was injured and should be substituted. Only later on did I realise that this was the plan after all.

I probably simplify this too much but the tactics I felt was like this.

1. Having Casemiro Fred and Erikson in the midfield and Rashford, Bruno and Martial pressure in the front meant it was near impossible for City to attack through the middle.

2. Allowing Walker and Cancelo space in the wings to go forward, leaving Rashford and Bruno higher up in the pitch meant that we overwhelm them when their LB and RB are upfront and they lose the ball. We basically lured their LB and RB out of their defensive position.

3. The tactic I thought worked very well given that we created so many chances as compared to City's one chance which they scored.

4. Would have been a much better scoreline if we had put away one or two in the first half.

Can’t wait to see the tears flowing tonight on match of the day when they dissect our goals.
No one will point it out but City made about 6 dives in the box trying to draw penalties in the second half. It's hard to feel sorry they got done by a dodgy call the other way, unless they were planning to deliberately miss any of the pens should they have been awarded.

Love how much more organised we are. Haaland hardly got a touch of the ball. Looks like ETH has found a new CB in Shaw aswell which is very useful as it means we can play Malacia a lot more who’s been really good lately. He’s improved so many of our players aswell like AWB, he was so good yesterday. Let’s keep this run going!

Citeh fans losing their collective shit all over social media about “that” goal.

Cry me a blue river - I’ll grab my kayak and paddle down the stream of your tears singing Glory Glory Man United whilst wiping my butt with a Citeh shirt.
