I think this will be (a) the reality check some around the club need and (b) a chance for ETH to deliver some home truths to the squad.
This was an anomalous, freak performance and result and his job now is to pull everyone back and consign that result to the history books.
As hard as that result is to stomach we must remember the goals of the season; top 4 and maybe a trophy. It’s only through his incredible impact that we’re in the position where we are, having competed on four fronts, playing every 3.5 days for as long as we have, with a wafer thin squad without a real striker is an amazing overachievement.
We keep the faith and see how he responds to what’s going to be a challenging few days. If it’s anything like how he responded to the last one then hopefully it’ll remain onwards and upwards.
