Eriksen returning is such a massive boost. With Casemiro back as well, I feel another big run of results is coming. A lot of our poor form can be blamed on these two massive pieces missing.

I never referee Newcastle games. We have to declare if we have an allegiance to any club or if a family member works at a club,” Oliver said in an interview with the Daily Mail in 2021, when Newcastle were fighting relegation. “You can’t do any match involving that team and I can’t do Sunderland, either, for obvious reasons.

Because Newcastle are invariably involved in a relegation battle, when you get to March or April, it means I can’t referee anyone around them towards the bottom three. If Newcastle needed a point to survive and the team they were fighting to get above was say Villa, I couldn’t referee Villa’s game either.

I wouldn’t want to. It’s not worth the hassle

How is this any different than them being in a battle for top 4 with us? Why hasn't he asked out of this one? We are definitely fecked tomorrow.

Eriksen back for this game and Casemiro been back on the next game will be such a massive boost. Hopefully both will start again Sevilla

5 of our games after tomorrow are away - it's definitely going to be a massive boost to have both back for them. Be interesting to see if/when Eriksen comes on tomorrow, hopefully it's after we are comfortable to just help build his match fitness.

It will also be interesting to see who he replaces when he comes on.

Not miffed about Shaw missing this game. Good rest and recovery time for him for the Sevilla game. Malacia can do the job.
having Eriksen come for15-20 mins would be a massive boost before the Europe, fa and tough run of games.

Great news that Eriksen is back (on the bench at least), if we can keep up the form vs Brentford, we should able to beat them comfortaby.

    DDG
    Dalot Varane Licha Malacia
    Mct Bruno
    Antony Sabitzar Sancho
    Rashford

Hope Martial can pick up the form, he can be crucial of our cup runs. Eriksen get 20 mins may be? McT deserves to start again too.

Brilliant news Eriksen is back. Certainly have missed him and hopefully gets a good amount of game time at the end just to get his match fitness up to speed. Same team that we had against Brentford albeit Malacia in for Shaw due to injury.

    De Gea

    Dalot - Varane - Martinez - Malacia

    McTominay - Sabitzer - B.Fernandes

    Antony - Rashford - Sancho

Butland, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Fred, Eriksen, Pellistri, Weghorst, Martial

    Manchester United 3-1 Everton

Imo this game will be a bit similar with last game. We've been pretty good at home this season and they won't have Doucoure, probably their best CM. Another solid win imo. Hope Martial would start he should be fit enough now.

Nice one. I'll never forget my first game. 0-0 vs Newcastle in 2004 for my birthday at Old Trafford.

Fingers crossed his first experience is better than mine

It is dodgy, but I think Newcastle will be more worried about Liverpool, Spurs and Brighton than they are about us, we’re getting too 4, no question. They need to make sure they get that last spot so they better hope Oliver starts refereeing the teams in 5th, 6th and 7th.

If we can win this, it’ll put a lot of pressure on the 3pm games

    Brentford v Newcastle
    Spurs v Brighton

This should be a win, shouldn't it followed by defeats or draws for Newcastle and Spurs. Something tells me we will draw and those two will win though.

I have a sneaking suspicion Newcastle with stumble against Brentford with the latter wanting to make amends at home after a horrendous performance against us.

Kinda nervous for this. These lot beat both Arsenal and City. They are no pushovers despite their league position. Fully expect that halfwit Pickford to play a blinder.

Anything less than a win is unacceptable given the fixtures for the others around us this weekend.

    Team I would go for:
    DDG

    Dalot/AWB (If he's fit)
    Varane
    Martinez
    Malacia

    Mctom/Fred
    Sabitzer
    Bruno

    Antony
    Martial
    Rashford

    4-3-3.

It'd be a huge win and give us breathing room, hopefully Brentford and a draw then to make a perfect weekend.

Not winning against these is unacceptable. And no Weghorst, please.

I'll take a smash and grab 1-0 own goal win with a dodgy VAR call for our goal if I'm honest

    There's only one United!
How can they let Michael Oliver remain as a referee when he's seen in such photos?!

No ref should EVER be seen in photos like these!!

    DISGUSTING

Eriksen is in the building! Will be so good to have him back regardless of whether it happens today or not.

Probably a good thing Casemiro isn’t playing with that Geordie knob Oliver in charge, he’d be throwing the dice every time he makes contact with anything blue.
