Martinez Injury | Out for the season with metatarsal fracture

That more than less confirms our best 11 won’t play once all year

Sickening. Season over for sure, will he be back for the start of next season or does Achilles take quite long to recover?

He looked absolutely gutted. When you know, you know.

probably what? Six months out best case for the Achilles?

Fecking devastated. Had to be a long old injury that might have lasting repercussions for him on a player like him. Sickening.

Achilles is career changer. And he will be long for most of next season. Absolutely devastating for him. And we will need even more money in the summer.

Lindelof - Maguire means we will now start leaking goals like a sieve.

Please, I hope it's not severe. By far our most important player, with him our football is okay, without him we will be close to trash I fear.

Shaw at CB is needed but Malacia will really have to step up.

It complicates our transfer-business quite a lot if he's out. Not easy to sell Maguire now. We'll probably have to change our targets. Doom and monger, yes.

In before @crossy1686 says his career is finished
No one wants to face the truth yet but an Achilles tear is very, very difficult to recover from, the mobility in your foot never comes back. Imagine having a foot that it's flexible in certain directions.

Some of the best up and coming players in recent years have had their careers effectively ended at this level due to this injury, Loftus-Cheek, Hudson-Odoi, Koscielny, Johnathan Walters and John Barnes.

I really hope Martinez's isn't that injury or if it is, it isn't severe otherwise he could be in massive trouble. He might also be alright eventually if it isn't his dominant foot.
