Stopped playing after 30 minutes and paid the price. The complacency and absolute indecision from a few players also a huge factor. We let in 2 goals not because Sevilla played well; it's because we let them play. This was pathetic.

That went to shit quickly. Malacia cost us the game with his brainfart.

Martinez is definitely out for the season as well. I'm pretty sure that's his achilles tendon he's injured.

Very good 35-40 mins, lost our way near end of first half, didn't push on in 2nd half. Ended the game poorly, plus Martinez injured and Bruno suspended. Quality declined after the subs. Frustrating, because I thought we had enough to finish the tie off tonight.

That might be the biggest disaster I’ve ever seen us partake in considering the position we were in.

We were unlucky, any other day, this would have been a comfortable 3 - 0.

Anyway, we'll smash them at their turf.

Sevilla were a very poor team in the first half. We will rue the missed opportunities. We pay the price for contempt. And I am afraid for the rest of the season, no Martinez and with Maguire. Sorry but that makes this team lose all the defensive qualities.

Don't give a shit about the result.

Gutted for Martinez. Hoping for the best but fearing the worst.

Hopefully Varane was precautionary and Shaw is fit again soon...

On the plus side, at least Sevilla must have used up their full season's worth of sheer, unadulterated fecking luck tonight.

Hopefully somebody who can play in defence is fit by the second leg.

Most gutted I’ve been after any bad result this season. Played well, should have been 4-0 but got a little complacent then it went to shit with Malacia leaving that cross. Two own goals and our central defence crocked. So fecking sickening and what was starting to look like a potential positive end to the season with players coming back and looking a bit more ‘on it’ it’s a real blow to the whole feel for the rest of the campaign.

A story we have seen too many times with this team , once the pressure comes on the mentality midget mindset takes over , folded like a cheap deck chair.

A top team would have finished them off when 2 - 0 up , but we are an average side so we were never going to do that. In the end we were praying for the full time whistle.

They are a poor side but they will probably put us out.

Deserved that. Awful substitutions, pathetic mentality, now one perhaps both our best defenders out, only goalscorer out and a dreadful, cluttered schedule.

This rush to the end is going to be painful.

It's a shame that I'm not even surprised to be honest.

I don't agree with those blaming ETH. With Eriksen back, subbing Bruno isn't the worst idea. Antony would have been good to keep on but there was absolutely no way he would've lasted without getting a yellow which would have ruled him out of the second leg.

Its very simplistic but we had shit luck today. If anyone is to blame its Malacia for missing a sitter then gifting them a goal. Sure we didn't have control of the game but they weren't creating much. Until that feck up we were still the most likely to score.

Instead of teaching my children about the Boogeyman or Krampus, I'm going to tell them tales of that triple substitutions to scare them into behaving themselves.

Also, it's not really been spoken about a lot by the wider media but our luck this season has been nothing short of shambolic. Like, if some of our luck happened on a football game I'd reset as it's been that unbelievable. From dodgy rearranged fixtures resulting in suspensions happening when it shouldn't, too the dodgiest handball decisions of all time, to injury after injury after injury ... just crazy stuff.

That's Sevilla through then. That game should've been dead and buried with half an hour to go and now all we've got to show for it is a serious looking injury to Martinez. What an unmitigated disaster.

Ref cost us the tie. Not sending off that twat Lamela and booking Fernandes for having arms. Wanker. Once again we’ve been shafted, just like against Sociedad.

Destroyed them first half. Should've been 3 or 4 nil.

We came out second half acting as if it was 3 or 4 nil. No energy, no urgency. Then EtH, who never rests anyone, decides around 60mins that it's time to rest some key players - which we didn't deal with. The 2nd string just weren't up to it.

Now in the last 20mins you knew something was coming, but how we conspired to get ourselves into that situation is beyond comprehension.

Adding to that the injuries on top, it's absolutely mind-boggling.

Special mention to the ref. On the one hand, he didn't take any of Sevilla's shitehousery, but I don't understand that booking for Bruno. Lamela red was down to VAR and probably should've been given.

You know for the away leg there will be a soft ref for Sevilla, especially if they take the lead.

This result is on Ten Hag. Ridiculous subs, bringing on non entities like Elanga and Weghorst invited Sevilla on as they didn't have to worry about defending after that.

Plus all the subs left unable us to replace Martinez.

Poor, poor decision.
He was getting grief for not taking Rashford off last week when he got injured and now he's getting grief for taking players off to rest them when we were cruising. The man can't win with some people.

Two freak goals and an unexpected injury.

Bad result but Sevilla didn't look a threatening side until we went to 10.

Cruising to absolute disaster in 20 minutes.

2 own goals, Bruno yellow card, Martinez injured. Not much is going our way at the moment is it?
Don't forget Varane injury as well, Maguire Lindeløf pairing coming up for the rest of the season. We'll lose in Seville, finish 7th in the PL and get knocked out the FA cup by Brighton

A draw is never a terrible result, but from the position we were in and factoring in the injuries, it is a disaster of a night. We can win in Spain, but I'd say they are favourites now.

Brilliant for 35 minutes, blew the opposition away should have been 4-0.
The substitutions killed it but we w ere looking lack lustre with 30 minutes to go. Gutted for Martinez, huge loss.
Plus side Anthony was really good and Sabister is a real goal threat playing further forward. We go again.

2nd half rivals Mourinho's 2nd leg UCL knockout tie against Sevilla. Truly awful.

we have paper thin squad and our fitness is questionable. Looks like the best scenario this season is a top 4 finish which is in itself a big ask. We might just end up with the league cup trophy.

Our second stringers won’t even get a look in for a championship team. You can almost see it on their faces - the self acknowledgement that they just aren’t good enough and pushing their luck.

That last 10 was a complete disaster, everything that could go against us, did go against us. Gonna have to really earn a place in the semis now as you can bet Sevilla are going to turn the bastard meter up to 11 next week in their own back yard.

Sevillas luck in this competition continues with two OGS. What Malacia was at on Sevillas opening goal? Before that brain fart United really should have put the tie to bed tonight and now with a poor away record it's uphill challenge to get through now.

Martínez injury the biggest blow to come out of that game, could be season ender for him and no like for like replacement.
