Anyone blaming De Gea need their heads looked at this is league 2 Casemiro Erickson etc take that ball 20 times each half no drama. Maguire asked for the ball his call he is the captain after all and its on him.
We literally conceded a goal against Brentford because Eriksen was not able to take a hospital pass from De Gea...

Nothing really wrong with DDG making that pass. It's a perfectly reasonable decision in that moment and his captain is telling him to do it. This is all on Maguire. He's not "surrounded by 3 Sevilla players." He just fecked it up all on his own.

We need to score somehow. Even penalty shoot out is better than to lose in normal time

Based on this game, Sevilla should go through. This is a knockout game where both sides started on the same scoreline. They just want it more. The lack of intensity is embarrassing. Only Antony seems to be trying. And then you give away an absolutely inexplicable goal like that. The sheer idiocy on display. The same players fecking up over and over. Our second choice aren't even good enough to be backups. Not just in ability, but also in mentality.

We need some kind of change out there. Get Rashford on, Fred on for legs, maybe even Shaw on. I hope we just don't give up and Sevilla stroll through the second half. These lot came back from 2 down, we can come back from one.

It's amazing how teams playing at home are having such a big advantage after the change of rules.

Awful 1st half and a terrible performance.
Its not even a good Sevilla side, embarrassing.
They want it 100x more at the moment. Attitude will beat talent more often than not.

Losing to this bunch of try hards... fecking pathetic.

I mean De Gea keeps playing these hospital passes and it's caused problems before. We conceded against Brentford because De Gea made another one of those ridiculous passes.
When your CB shows and asks for the ball, I don't you can blame the GK too much. Maguire is the trigger for their press, it's clear as day.

One thing I'm wary of is bringing on Rashford or Shaw and them being fecked for Sunday or future league fixtures. Would like to see them come on at some point though but think getting Fred on is probably a priority at HT. Coin toss between Eriksen or Sabitzer to get the hook. Casemrio has probably been worse but we can't afford to take him off.

AWB? He's the only one that's made tackles and interceptions and is probably one of our better players.

Only thing he did wrong was the weak shot and give away a free kick.
He left the Sevilla winger completely free for their 2nd goal. Don't agree that he's been good. Only player that's been good is Antony imo. Think he's limiting us going forward

We are not in the game. Bruno missing costing us the game so far. We are useless in transition and CAs without him. He can be annoying at times but it seems he is crucial. We are shite since he came off in the first match. Our players also look tired. Is Sancho better than for example Lingard? Heis not willing to run with Ocampos... Eriksen seems lost. AWB is all over the place andplaying Dalot out of position is not helping too. Maguire's usual brainfart is not a surprise, Sevilla's players are targeted him intentionaly. It was stupid from DDG to make that kind of pass to fecking Maguire. Play to our strenghts FFS. Changes need to be made at HT or we can say goodbye to EL in a game against an average team. Sevilla's fans are amazing to be honest. I wish OT would rock like this.

I am starting to seriously question Erik's team preparation for big games. One time, fine. Two times, ok. But in every bloody big away game we look scared and without passion.

De Gea can see the whole pitch. He shouldn't be passing it to Maguire there regardless of whether he's calling for it.

Heard on the radio Seville have not been beaten at home by a non Spanish club in over 10 years!
Both Mancity and Dortmund trashed them 4 goals this season. That radio is shite.

Do we get Fred on and maybe Shaw for Maguire before he costs us another.

We seemed fecked either way, a goal back and we can sort ourselves out against this poor team but we have to stop fecking up at the back. We've shipped three comedy goals.

Seeing the goal again, and it's all on De Gea. No pace on the pass whatsoever, and if it was it might have worked, but the pass never should have been played.

Shaw for Maguire Malacia for WB and Rash for Sancho. Lets hope it plays like last week where the team who dominates the first half drop off in the second

This is the best we can get from both of them. Some nice bits of play where they look good bit ultimately flatter to deceive.

If we want some fight in the 2nd half these should not be on the pitch anymore.
just not good enough until we get rid of these mediocre types we’ll be forever dreaming of competing for the biggest trophies.

It's a mental thing. They need to match the intensity of Sevilla, they need to fight like their lives depend on it. It's up to the manager to get this out of them. After that, we have enough quality to win for sure.
hopefully you are right. and yes at times they jogged around like its a kickabout in the park

    - Maguire's poor action, where he should have just kicked the ball away.
Sevilla put so called “false pressure” on Maguire. We are 4 on 3, and they go really hard after everyone but the ball carrier.

At this level, you must be able to read that. You must have looked up before you got the ball. If Maguire just turns up field he has an ocean infront of him.

If we keep Maguire on and bring on Wout and Elanga later I will lose my shit.

In reality though at HT he should be hooking that big useless turd and putting Shaw on and taking the ever nervous, bottle job Sancho off for Rashford.

Look at Lindelof in that offside goal. Pretty much sets his stall to lay down with his hands before his back BEFORE the guys even gets the ball.

Such a shit technique and method of 'blocking' a shot. He does this every single fecking time. Just get close and block the player.

Yeah a few decent moments but his lack of desire in tackles, blocks, arial duels is frustrating as feck. It's not the be all and end all but a but of heart can do a lot and unfortunately he's a bit of a wimp when it comes to any sort of duel.
Ya can't really argue with any of that. He's disappointed me tremendously since arriving.

Really poor stuff from us. We are second to every ball. Sloppy passing. They just look not bothered. Shocking mistake for the goal too.

This better be Martial's last game at United, sick to death of this shit attitude of not trying up-front

Sancho not far behind either, both a disgrace to the club

I didn't notice this live but it was actually a pretty crappy execution of the pass by DeGea as well. The pace and angle was far too square, nearly behind Maguire in fact. Doesn't excuse Maguire's poor execution either but worth noting.

Blame him for passing to Harry?

    Hell yes.

I'd make it a rule if I was Erik.

    "Never pass to Harry Maguire".
exactly but as scholesy said, he only know one CB in world football who;d cope with the pass (not even sure who he means)
