I can definitely see this being the first saga of the Summer. (Assuming United get CL football, Spurs don't and the Glazer cnuts aren't only allowing loans.)

As I said before, I still wouldn't rule out Newcastle. If they're in the CL with unlimited funds, they can probably make it happen. And he'd be their modern-day Shearer figure.

It’s completely different. Are people just not understanding that Spurs get nothing if they don’t sell him this summer?
You do realise it's Levy - one of the most incompetent chairmen in the league - that'd need to be overcome to prise the player from the club? On top of that, Kane is worth more to Spurs for that extra season than them squandering whatever fee they get on their customary gaggle of rubbish transfers.

Sure, and the question then becomes how much is one season of Kane worth to Spurs. It’s a terrible decision if they are turning down £75m, as there’s no way he provides that much value to a team in Spurs’ current position.

We also need to bear in mind that Levy likes to be shown to be a good commercial negotiator. The absolute worst case scenario for him is to be made to look like an idiot when Kane walks out for free and (for example) then signs for Arsenal and bangs in 30-40 goals per season for the next 5 years. He will want to sell this summer.
Nowhere it's reported to be £75m or even circa that, and especially not with Levy... and a Levy dealing with us in particular.

There is very little mention of Kane turning 30 years in just a couple of months. He has already shown signs of slowing down. Plus there are injury concerns.
His fair valuation is 50m, IMO.

Perhaps basing it off England performances, and Son's drop off may mean Kane's influence is less obvious but every time I've watched Spurs this season I've felt Kane looks less sharp than he has in recent seasons.,
Hmm given he’s scored or assisted in 24 out of 32 matches in the league, then it’s probably based of his England performances and because of Son’s drop in form, I’d say. Had a bad World Cup that’s for sure. Not many were firing in that England squad and Kane was no exception.

I’d say only Kane and Højbjerg (4 goals, 5 assists for a central midfielder and good with the ball) can look back at this season and be relatively proud of themselves.

I mean I can't get upset if we get Kane, but definitely I'd prefer Osimhen. No idea what Osimhens cost would be, and there is the slight injury worries with Osimhens I guess. Osimhen could well be a 130m+ range, Kane at an absolute stretch should be 80m at most. So by that logic, could get Kane and Diogo Costa or Lavia, or just Osimhen... At some point, we need to make our squad younger, but Kane now and Ferguson or sesko in the future also makes sense I guess

I think spurs would rather keep him. Not that they’re going to do anything if he stays, but I can see them losing him on a free if they don’t get the figure they’re after

Kane would rack up the stats at United but I don’t know if he’s really the man to take us to the next level. I’d prefer a more dynamic, mobile striker, and Kane is only going to get worse in that regard as he enters his 30s.

Unreal player just leaves such a short window to win things before we start having to replace the core group again.

50m is nonsense even with his contract situation, espcially after Hazard's transfer.
Kane hasn't missed more than 2 games in a row in 3 years. When it comes to injury-prone players (especially strikers) he isn't one.
Lewa, Benzema, Suarez, hell even Cavani all played way beyond their 30s without losing quality, in Benzema's case he even improved. No reason to suggest Kane would be any different.
If this transfer is to happen, we're obviously gonna strike a deal very close to the 100m mark, maybe even reaching it.

If Poch goes Chelsea, he'll end up there. They're the only ones dumb enough to pay what spurs will ask and put him on an astronomical wage.

He'll probably go for free at the end of his contract.

Don't see Spurs selling this summer. There's no way to replace him pretty much.

He goes there he burns his bridges with Spurs completely. I think he stays another season and leaves for free next year.

I think overall that will be the outcome, but the only team paying the price this summer could be Chelsea with Poch at the helm.
No chance whatsoever
More chance than anyone else paying what spurs will ask for from anyone in the league.

I'd still buy him. His goal scoring still speaks for itself and as another poster said, scores in more games and more goals that win you points than other strikers this season too.

Spurs are having a mare granted, but still think he'd be great for us.

Don’t think he’s interested in destroying his Spurs legacy

Levy will send Kane away for cheap to Bayern than see him move to Chelsea. Hes got form for it, did it with Modric.

What legacy exactly? He'll forever be their top scorer. He's led them to nothing, it's not exactly like he's giving up much.

True, but if they do actually care about getting a big fee for him, I think Chelsea is the only place they'll get it.

He's a great player and may well end up scoring many goals and getting a trophy here.

But as amazing as Van Persie was it was a very short sighted signing to get Fergie one last title.

RVP ended up injured and slow. He would get fit in time for a Netherlands tournament and then show up unfit for us.

I think a 25 year old physical beast type of striker is what we need. Who? I don't really know. The obvious options will break the bank.

Huge, huge decision coming up.

I would agree however it does seem that kane wants Shearers PL goals record. So i can see him stupidly turning a move down to bayern.

Some players are comfortable where they are, Totti (Roma) springs to mind. Batigoal eventually decided he wanted a serie A title so finally left fiorentina. Kane will either do a totti or a batigoal.

Kane game doesnt rely on pace. Hes good enough to be a goalscorer and also an assiter. Benzema and leodowski have killed off any they are over 30 and past it conversations for a striker.

We will definitely put in a good offer for Kane. It wouldn't hypothetically be as high as Chelsea's but it wouldn't be lowball either. And Levy would much rather let us have him than even consider Chelsea.
Osimhen isn't actually an easier option to tie down in practice - he's on a deal till summer 2025, joined Napoli on a record deal and their CEO is notoriously difficult to deal with, arguably worse than Levy.

If we have to cough up 100m EUR on Kane we'll have to put about 140 on Osimhen (which we wouldn't do). I see an 70m+add ons deal being acceptable for Levy. Sales of McTominay and Dean Henderson alone can fund that.

I also think Ten Hag's preference will come down to flexing appetite and the latest reports on that front seem to favour Kane.

The forum is very split on these two strikers but really its a no lose situation. Both are fantastic.

Doesn’t have that option. Kane will just tell him he’s staying in England. Levy has no power here.

RvP had a worse injury record coming in to United though, didn't he?

True. He has the power to reject Chelsea and accept Manchester United even if Chelsea offer more money. Just like he did with Modric to ensure he didn't move to a London rival.

But he does like to drop deep and linger on the ball. It's not a style that would fit a top team. His movement gets increasingly cumbersome as the years go by. He would score lots of goals for us but he would go quiet when the pressure was on in a title race or a final.

He is a Woodward signing and i hope those days are behind us. I also dont think ETH would be after him as he's not English, hasnt been in the league long, and therefore doesnt fawn over English players.

If he is available for decent price that doesn’t hamper our chances of getting a top midfielder in, then its a good signing. If Levy plays hardball again, move on to other signing. No need to overpay for him
