He would have known he was expecting a child when Bayern talked to him before bidding for him. There is no way Bayern have been this aggressive without a clear message from Kane that he wants to go there.

Imagine him excitedly going home to tell his wife, until to look down at her pregnancy bump in shock as the reality dawns on him.
It’s funny seeing some posts here as if Kane just found out he’s about to have a baby. The guys known for 9 months and still been open to a Bayern move.

Not getting Kane when he could be the only realistic player to get us our first title since SAF is pretty shambolic given the amounts of times we’ve wasted 50m or similar on players in the last 7/8 years.

I really think you can throw a lot of shit at the way we've operated, but to say its shambolic to not get Kane is utter nonsense.

I'm really intrigued to see what kane chooses
He gets an easy title with Bayern and maybe a cup or two and a CL run as well.

But if he stays next year / Jan he's free and probably in a better position as clubs will take him on a free, and he will have more choices especially staying in the league to beat shearers record.

We are in multiple competitions something ETH has said on multiple occasions. He needs bodies and competition for places. He said so again this week.
Your second paragraph sounds a lot like Neville's conspiracy theory. Bayern are not bidding multiple times for a player they aren't sure wants to join.

Well you might want to check out our pursuit of FDJ last season.

Now let's see if he actually wants to leave.

Still think he stays.

Down to you Harry...

Fair play to Bayern, but I think Kane will stay, due to his wife about to have another child.

I hope he doesn’t sign a new contract though and leaves on a free.
Wasn't his Wife in Munich a few weeks ago looking at areas to live?

For people saying Man Utd should now match the bid - surely Spurs can still demand more from an English team, and how the hell do you think the club can structure a deal this summer, it would take some Barça accountancy.

It was said we had 100-120m to spend this summer. We are going to have around 80-100m in sales, we can do it if we want to.

I'm sure you've already answered it in here but do you want him to sign?
I think he is way too expensive for his age and only 1 year of contract left, but i think he would be absolut excellent in our team.
And judging by his game and physique i can well imagine Kane to play on the highest level until ~35, just like Lewandowski or Benzema.

Last year we were a much better team with Choupo Moting than with any of the "false 9" experiments we tried (Mané, Müller, Gnabry).
We desperately need a new "poacher" in the box and additionally Gnabry and Sané would love Kanes passes.

Yeah I don't know why people think it automatically means they'd have to accept the same from us

It's pure fantasy to think United will bid for Kane this summer, but in theory, if United did and Kane wanted the move enough he could kick up a fuss and potentially force it. That obviously won't happen because a) we don't have the finances to make that move and b) Kane has been treading on eggshells not to upset anyone at Spurs.

The only chance we have of Kane now is if he sits tight and lets his contract run down.

Yeah they’ll just say no.
If he solely wants Bayern he should go, if I were him and had any kind of other interest (Probably Real) I’d just run down my deal though.Very few players ever would have complete carte Blanche of where to move but I genuinely think every every club would want him.

I want to be the first to congratulate Harry Kane on winning the Bundesliga! First trophy in his career and many more(Bundesligas) to come!

In all seriousness, congrats to Bayern fans. They're now probably second favourites to win the UCL. Big statement signing for Bayern and Bundesliga in general.

Let’s be realistic here. The Glazers are staying so we can use the credit facility. We can shift players after and in January for FFP

Spurs wanted £100m for a player just turned 30 with a year left on his contract. Would have been a ridiculous transfer one that was emblematic of the Woodward era. United were right not to pay it regardless of who the player is.

If it was a reasonable fee I'd have been all for it but not for what Spurs were seeking

Offer them him who shall not be named, plus £50-60m. There is a strong chance they could claim that as a win, if they can hold their noses enough to ignore the stink around MG.

We must lodge a bid.

Non-negotiable, even if we don't sign him and we are blanked, as a club, we have to make a public and formal bid.

We have too.

He's 2-3 seasons away from securing the Premier League goalscoring record. I'd take that record over any Bundesliga title and German cup any day.

Agree. If the Glazers had pissed off at the start of the summer i reckon he’d already be a United player.
