I am avoiding Man City defenders and midfield mate, it is not worth the hassle when they get benched suddenly:)
I agree. Ederson and Haaland are only ones who are worthy from City. I did Gusto/James trade now and plan for future is to replace Onana/Stones with Ederson and Shaw.

Not bad moves my friend :)

I am personally keeping Onana for the season, i have a feeling we will see him bagging a couple of assists this season and he is great for bonus but so are Shaw i guess :D

I have to sell either Dias or Gabriel to buy Chilwell, Dias does not seem fully fit and City has a tougher fixture this week, seems a no-brainer to keep Gabriel and sell Dias.
So basically, Gabriel will be on the bench and Dias will start (:

I'd start Maddison over the other two. Eze is the better player but hard not to start the PK taker.
I thought Eze takes penalties for Palace as well, maybe I'm wrong. Can someone shed some light on this?

He does but Zaha was the main taker last year so its 50/50 between him and Edouard imo.

I was going to save a transfer, but with Gabriel a rotation risk and Stones rumoured to be still injured - I’d have only 2 defenders playing.

sold Stones for Colwill, Colwill on bench

so if Gab doesn’t play, Colwill will come in.

have extra funds then to get a potential upgrade on Gab if he doesn’t start this weekend before an inevitable price drop comes in.

Turner

Estupinan - Gabriel - Chilwell

Mitoma - Bruno - Rash - Saka (vc) - Mbeumo

Haaland (c) - Watkins

subs: Pickford, Joao Pedro, Colwill, Kabore

They still have Ake, Gvardiol, Akanji and walker

depth
They do have incredible depth. It's just that Newcastle were very impressive attacking wise in their last game and I'd consider Ruben as City's best defender currently. So hopefully he bangs in a few.

Why is everyone packing Gabriel out ? Is he confirmed out ?
No clue at all. It was random in week one let's not forget that he was even dropped in the first place. He played almost every game last season iirc and with Timber now injured I would be in absolute disbelief to not see him starting every single game.

Was covered by a few Arsenal fans. Gab seemingly plays LCB only when Zinchenko plays ahead of him, as with this new inverted fullback tactics nearly everyone is doing, the LCB or inverted fullback needs to slot into LB when defending. That needs to be Zinchenko has Gabriel can’t play fullback - Saliba seems to be the more preferred definite CB currently as well.

Gab is a potential rotation risk in their view. Most FPL managers have 3 main defenders and 2 fodders, so Gab as a rotation risk has load’s panicking

Again who exactly will start ahead of him ? White will start as RB. That leaves Tomiasu, holding and Kiwior.

Everyone getting giddy over Isak, forgetting the last 6 weeks of last season where he was frequently outwide while Wilson came in and hoovered the big points up.

  1. Stick? Or Bruno to Diaz?
  2. And which keeper to start?
  3. Mitoma correct bench option

Turner / Onana
Chilwell Estu Saliba
Bruno Rashy Martinelli Saka
Jackson Haaland (c) Wissa

Mitoma, Baldock, Luton

Same people are saying Tomiasu or Kiwior, this is if Arteta sticks with the same tactics as those 2 suit better in the fluid LCB becoming fullback role when defending. It's a risk a lot are not willing to take, I'm holding out another week and will see or if his price will drop if he doesnt start.

That or when Zinchenko is fit, if he repalces Partey then Gabriel can be less of a rotation risk as he would always stay in the LCB position regardless

I have much the same decisions.

I kept Bruno, definitely starting, you never can tell with Diaz, plus Bruno is on penalties. Spurs will press more than Wolves and hopefully we should be able to catch them on the counter. Bruno assisting Rashford's goals.

I started Turner and benched Onana. Not sure about Mitoma, I don't have him or Wissa , but I think it would be Wissa I would bench. But that one is 50/50, so who knows.

I'm confident he starts on Monday and will do going forward. He was very good last season. I think people are reading way too much into 'tactics' based on one opening game of the season when they also had their newly signed defender in there too, who they don't have anymore. I think they'd be mental to be playing any of these names ahead of Gabriel.

Thinking about Eze to Diaz for a -4 (already did Stones to Gusto) worth it?

I hear you, but he was impressive even when playing out wide last season. They don't have to do that now they got in Barnes. I think Howe is just trying have competition for places and let Isak earn his spot up top.

I'm cautious on Wissa as I benched him last week for his 9 and played Jackson for his 1.

Playing a Forest keeper over United feels risky though doesn't it?

Maybe impressive in "real life", but not great for the game points.
