Best performance of the season for me. Hojlund looked good when he came on, Antony played well.

Gutted to lose but I think I feel better about our chances this season after that than any of the other games this season.

Suddenly seeing Jonny Evans and Maguire as CBs for Man Utd felt like some sort of fever nightmare. I wouldnt have seen that one coming a few weeks ago.

We were better than expected, but still some levels of class between those two teams. We're just so far away at the moment.

If Nacho had scored we’d all be saying it was a great game, so don’t want to see too many naysayers.

That being said, I think there was a foul on Evans for the second goal & shouldn’t have been given.
I wouldn't, I'd say it was very fortunate.

Architects of our own downfall, chance to launch the ball into the box to go for an equaliser and instead we hit the ball out wide, moments later a third goal.

This was a game to bring Hannibal into he could have niggled away at the likes of Saka and really disrupted their game.

Erik needs to be bolder in his selection and stop picking the same players when they are not justifying their inclusion in the first eleven.

Tight margins in football. Can't keep making excuses for losing big away games. Wasn't a bad performance, game plan was fine and injuries pretty much 100% at fault here, but still. Annoying.

Optimistic for the season ahead, just wish one of these damn years we would be prepared from game 1 and not from September. Ah well. At least I feel confident in my thought that we are pretty much Arsenal's level this season.
Finishing with your 5th and 6th choice CBs (if you include Shaw as a CB option) is just terrible luck. Maybe we still lose with Varane and Martinez for the full game, but we'll never know.

Need them all back quickly.

Game deserved to be a draw, but football's always going to throw results like this at us. Very unlucky to have Martinez go down - unsure why Lindelof had to come off, possibly fitness?

Unpopular opinion, but I was thinking that McTominay on for Eriksen would've been a good call at around the 75, 80 minute mark to shore up the midfield. My bad - wasn't on the bench. Tough stuff - our squad is decimated.

Great, now Sky can continue to put up that stupid, fecking graph about our results against the "top 9". Fecking love showing that one off the cnuts.
It is their job ad you can't blame them for doing it.

It is a fascinating stat , for such a big club like us to fall apart in so many big games. If it were one of the other big clubs we would be laughing our heads off at how brittle they are in a hostile atmosphere.

I despise this team of lazy individuals with a passion!

Lost faith now in Ten Hag

We go into the break with 11 injuries. One of them isn't Martial. How is that even possible at this stage of the season.

Another United-Arsenal classic, obviously much closer than the final scoreline suggests. From an Arsenal POV I thought Havertz did better, Saka still seems slightly off it mentally and Martinelli shouldn't be taking corners (how many times did he fail to beat the first man?). Negativity of any kind will seem misplaced on our side both because of the result/last ten minutes and just because It's very early in the season, but my gut feeling is still that both of us will finish comfortably in the CL places but won't seriously worry City for the title, so I guess see you in the various cup competitions, as they're probably going to define the retrospective on both of our seasons.

Hard to take with such a late defeat but I think there were positives to take from the performance. Our worrying away from continues against the top teams though.

Hojlund did more in 10 minutes than Martial did in 60.

We were far better out of possession. Our midfield wasn’t overrun every time we lost the ball.

Dalot was brilliant at left back.

Onana basically gives us a 12th man in possession.

I was very worried after the first 3 games. Pretty decent game today. We didn't concede many chances until the end, which is expected with Evans & Maguire. If was inevitable when they came on.

Martial utter gash as usual, but looking forward to seeing Hojlund settle in. He looks a real talent.

A lot better overall. I'm actually feeling encouraged despite the shambles in the final minutes. Arsenal weren't much better than us, their second shouldn't have stood and on another day we could have snatched a win. We need to be much better defensively for obvious reasons but with so many injuries it's difficult to get any kind of consistency.

Gutted. Didn't deserve that result. Overall better performance than last year, but worse result - go figure.

Our defensive injuries are a serious worry though.

We were the better team in the second half until the VAR ruled us offside. They need to explain where the feck they pulled 8 mins out from because there should have been 4 mins max.

Should have at least gotten a draw. Rice and Arteta are such jammy twats.

Dont care what anyone says but as soon as Antony came off we where vulnerable down that side he offered so much in defence

It would only be unpopular because he wasn't on the bench.

I thought we were doing okay until Harry Maguire showed up. He's a bad-luck charm

Ultimately lost by the bench. There were very little good options left. Thought Evans was a clever choice to try and calm things down but we needed a couple of fit midfielders to come on. Can't do that with Hannibal and Gore unfortunately.

Really really close game and a very good performance. Honestly think we'll end up above Arsenal if we keep playing like this. The Gunners are good but lack mentality.

Onana my man of the match. He's proper quality. Dalot was great against Saka and Rasmus reminded us what an actual striker looks like. Not a bad goal from Rashford either.

Very happy that we didn't collapse in the second half. Not so pleased that we did collapse in the final ten-twenty minutes, but it's progress for sure. It's mostly just annoying because of the narrative around away losses.

Could of drew or won on another day. Doesn't changer the larger problem at hand - Ten Hag's style of football is awful. Looks like we will struggle for goals again.
The huge worry is it needs perfection to come off in the tough aways. You're relying on perfect breakaway goal and needing to keep the opposition quiet all game.

Just the presence of an actual forward put Arsenal on their toes
So? We spent more time aimlessly passing in our own half, and our goal was against the run of play. Also, what do you mean plenty of chances? We didn't create enough.
That's exactly how you set up against a better team if you want to win.

We are going to need reinforcements in January or we are in bottom half of the table. Pity we will have no money as it appears Glazers are staying. We could be in the pits here!

Yeah, 8 minutes was a total piss take.

Thought Arsenal were nothing special, and lucky to win it. That being said, we have been lucky in other games... just gutting that it evens out against an insufferable coach.

We looked a lot better up top when Hojlund came on. Martial looks finished. Antony much better today, too. Some positives to be had and probably our best performance despite the result.

Why is our fitness so bad? How come we’re struggling with so many injuries?

We played okay given the circumstances but Arsenal once again get so lucky against us. That offside was so marginal. And Onana could’ve done better with the Rice’s goal. But the fact we had to defend with Maguire and Evans after ETH has spent so much money is so bad.

The international break has come at a great time.

Fitness - shit
Patterns of play - shit
Rashford - fecking weak cnut
Hojilund - Promising
Succinct and accurate.

As an aside, 1-1 probably would have been fair. Definitely the least shit of the two sides won out today but neither team looked great at all. Then again, we didn’t do anything to not deserve to get beaten 3-1. Football be funny sometimes.
