It'd be nice if we actually looked half competent in the final third. I know it's asking for a minor miracle but I'd actually like to watch us score a goal or perhaps even two. Pretty please United.
This happened on Tuesday, we were good going forward

He will not drop Bruno, Rashford or Onana.

    Anthony will be back in.

Possibility for Maguire to start as may have to play Lindelof at RB and swop Dalot to LB.

Need Eric to show a bit more imagination today rather than just trotting out the same 11 again that have lost the last 2 games.

This is must win for ETH otherwise the pressure is going to escalate significantly.

Here’s hoping that Hoyland continues his fine form.
What is Antony going to provide? Pace? Goals? Crosses? Progressive dribbling (like, taking defenders completely out of the game) ? I think we have looked more balanced with some one with a right foot on the right. And there is a possibility that Dalot will be left back.

Antony will provide nothing but the usual drama and histrionics. Leave him on the bench, maybe give him 20mins. If that.

I think the consensus is that Dalot will play left back. We will miss some creativity on the right, does that mean we need to start Anthony?

    Then there’s the midfield debate.

Mount is getting there, Casimeiro despite the moans was rightly our player of the month. Do we start Mount or Anthony? Do we start with Amrabat, Mount and Casimeiro or drop cas and get Anthony in? Big decision for Ten Haag.

Granted Onana does rhyme with banana but calling a black player “bananas” is wild.
It’s a shame that. Because he does play as if he’s “gone bananas” and it would be a great nickname for him but for the obvious connotations. (And therefore it’s a terrible idea, granted.)

Really hope we get the win today. Hate going into international breaks on a loss. Means waiting 2 weeks to put things right. Have to win here!!

    ---------------------Onana
    Lindelof--Varane--Maguire--Dalot
    --------------------Amrabat
    -----------Bruno------------Mount
    Antony----------Hojlund---------Garnacho
I like this line up. Gives Casemiro a much needed break. Dropping Rashford will show that no one’s position is safe. Manager needs to grow a pair!

Those two home defeats against Brighton and Palace have really fecked our season. Those 6 points we would be in top 4 and a win today we would maybe going top. It's so so depressing !

Absolutely. What’s even more depressing is if we win today the furthest we can move upto is 9th. So 1 more position from where we are.

Just getting the 3 points is all that matters today. Already reached that desperation point now in which I’ll take a very scrappy, sluggish performance against anyone now if it gets us the 3 points.

    Onana

    Lindelof - Varane - Maguire - Dalot

    Amrabat - Eriksen

    Antony - Bruno - Garnacho

    Hojlund

Bayindir, Evans, McTominay, Casemiro, Mount, Hannibal, Pellistri, Martial, Rashford

    Manchester United 2-0 Brentford

Dude please! It’s a joke based on his name and playing style. We got to stop all this post shaming on the cafe. People be afraid to write anything!

This one could go either way. Brentford slightly favored to win due to home advantage, I'd say.

We've seen what Brentford have done to us before. We need the legs in MF. Hannibal has to start

Brentford don't have a LB because Henry is out. I watched most of their last game against Forest and they played Hickey at LB and he underlapped a ton with Lewis-Potter very wide at LW. Ajer played at RB.

So my guess is that Antony plays at RW and hopefully can give Hickey a ton of trouble and also force him wide and open up that channel for Bruno. I'd play Garnacho at LW since Ajer doesn't have the agility to stay with him and probably would prefer to have Rashford as an opponent, but with 2 weeks until our next game I expect Rashford to start. Also Rashford and Eriksen off the bench might be a good idea in what could be a cagey game.

Jensen is really the only midfielder who can create and Janelt runs a ton so I'd guess Mount plays to keep up with their midfield running.

Fully agree with this. Ten Hag is failing just like his predecessor by playing the club favourites.
Oh come on. He's playing his best options. Sure as rain, as soon as things go badly we get that refrain, and the even stupider one of calling for the manager to play youth players, as if that'd help.

If we see Amrabat at left back and Bruno on the right  Rather see Lindelof right back and just start Maguire/Evans.

    No.
    Please No.

Hopefully Reguillon is in contention for a start and we don't have to do that.

Maguire has to come in and play Lindelof as full back. We need Amrabat in midfield, he has been exposed as left back but also showed how quality he is on the ball and how much he gets around. I’d drop Bruno and play Eriksen as the 10 with Rashford right, Garnacho left of Hojlund.

also bring in that Turkish chap.

however I see Antony playing and Amrabat staying left back etc…Brentford win, EtH on the verge.
Great idea, if you want us to lose again.

Too many square pegs in round holes, but that’s the nature of having a team decimated by injuries. Only United could lose their first choice left back (who also happens to be the 3rd choice centre back), then the second choice left back, bring in an emergency third choice left back only to lose him as well. You’re probably not going to see free flowing football.

Just get the result, doesn’t have to be pretty.

Didn’t ETH say he’s out this weekend? I’d rather Lindelof RB, Varane and Maguire with Dalot LB and then Amrabat in his best position.

If no left backs are fit we really should be playing the young fernandez there.
