Good second half, very forgetful first.

Maguire the form player atm.

Really wanted ETH to be the brave manager who would pick on form not on name. But that doesn't seem to be the case otherwise rashford AND Antony need dropping for City. Start mount RW and martial Lw

Why can't we buy/produce a controlling midfielder? We are not able to dictate terms against any opposition at all - we used to mop the floor with teams like these.
Apart from when we lost to Copenhagen while Fergie was our manager.

Scored one, should really have scored 5, could have ended up drawing a game we probably didn't deserve to win.....madness

I am speechless, what just happened at the end of the game. Typical bad luck turned to good luck!

Performance was dog poo though. Erikson changed the second but was still terrible. Our attackers and midfield just look like they have no clue what is going on. It's slow, it's boring, it's basic.

Defence was better, still some very armature mistakes like the one where lindeloff saved us after 3 of our men got stuck near half way line marking one guy.

Positives though, Maguire is growing. God I've slated him enough but the last 3 games he has done well in performance and contribution. Onana was also very good, last 2 games he has done well with some very good saves and that penalty, hopefully will be a season changer. Its now also 3 wins a row which feels weird given we have been rubbish in all three and all against lower level teams.

Rest of squad tonight were crap.

I know it’s only Copenhagen, but after this week that was emotional as feck. First half was a joke but we played better in the 2nd. Bar some horrendous touches we could have had 3 or 4. Genuinely sick of Rashford now. He needs some time out

Really pleased for Maguire and Onana tonight, they deserve every bit of praise for the abuse they've had to endure over the past year, Maguire especially, no one deserves that.

Thought we were poor again but a big win and I'm delighted for Maguire and Onana.

Still very unsure about Onana but two big moments from him tonight so fair play.

Been saying for weeks, but tonight once again proves Bruno and Rashford need dropping for Eriksen and Garnacho. Been obvious for weeks.

Quite worried about the weekends game.... brilliant result tonight though and gives a real chance at qualifying.

Their keeper also made 2 worldie saves, Eriksen's low drive and McT's effort which looked like a bad miss.

Rashford needs to spend a few weeks on the bench.

I'd love to see a midfield of Eriksen and Amrabat rather than Bruno and McT.

Hojlund needs support from the wings that either crosses or make intelligent runs and currently the only players that do that are Garnacho, Pellestri and maybe Mount.

If Erik continues with Rashford, Bruno, McT in the side they will get him sacked.

You must be making these statements after every game these days.

"Fergie lost to Villa at OT"
"Fergie lost to Bilbao"
"Fergie lost to Ajax"
"We used to win ugly 1-0s under Fergie"

People can't even distinguish between one-offs and consistent shite on stick football these days.

Grinding out these wins , as players come back, can help build up momentum. Right now the performances , while very frustrating, are not as important as winning games.

If we can play ourselves into form, it could be one of those seasons where we start awful and finish strong. The unrealistically optimistic side of me thinks of Pool in 2003/04 where they kind of winged things a lot, relied on some very hairy moments going there way but got the win against most of the odds.

I wouldn’t bet on us winning anything right now, but things can change very quickly in football. These sort of wins can galvanise players and a season.

I don’t have much time for modern footballers , but fair play to Onana and Maguire who have been getting dogs abuse.

Yeah but you can't just turn form on and off. We have put 3 wins together (not great performances). They have to play their way into form and hopefully this is what's happening. Any sort of result against city and things are starting to look a lot better.

If you’d choose 2 players to save us tonight no one would have mentioned Maguire and Onana.

Oh come on boyysssssss everyone has to be buzzing after that! I loved every bit of it, I went through all the emotions watching that

It was a god awful performance in the first half, I said it was one of the worst under ETH. Was bored watching United that half, it felt like LVG.

However, it set up perfectly for the second half. We had drama upon drama after that.

Rashford/Garnacho clear cut chances missed with poor touches, looked like it wasn't our day like every other game this season. Then Maguire steps up and bangs one in. Then we concede a last minute penalty (questionable but typical of United). And then Onana steps up to save it!

This is why you support this club! It's a rollercoaster of emotions but it always provides in the end!

Every game is a struggle and the tactics and team selection feel like it’s just throwing shit at a wall and hoping something sticks for a little while.

Fair play to Onana and Maguire for stepping up, I can’t see is getting out of this group but at least still in with a chance.

We played much much better in the 2nd half. Happy for Harry and Onana.

Eriksen was great.

It was a crazy game! Still can't believe that save! :D

I don’t like how poor opponents are matching our stats. We should be dominating teams like these.

It was really frustrating the other week seeing Højlund's two goals and superb performance count for nothing after we lost. It's nice to see tonight that the individual accomplishments counted for something at the end of the match.

What we need is our best players to be at their best more often. But also Ten Hag has to find the right balance in the team. We cannot play without a creative nous. And Eriksen gives you that.

Never in doubt  . defence was decent- well played Maguire and Varane-, midfield often appalling besides Eriksen who really made a difference and the attack was so wasteful as usual. Well played Onana who was MOTM

also....are we actually sure that ref is a real referee?

What happened with the penalty?? I turned everything off soon as the penalty was called and couldn't hack the fallout of another non-victory. Just brought myself to put on FlashScore a minute ago and saw it was still 1-0 to United??
