City do a good job of having a relative amount of separation so they are never truly tied to these things.Surely he shouldn't be allowed to have any involvement in games that have any influence on them, certainly none they're playing in
A striker who is not horrible one footed would have buried it with his right. Was interesting what Keane said that Hojlund should have done. He didn't phrase it well tbh. A more experienced striker may have created a situation where a pen could be given.
To not get a shot off or go down was an outrageous waste if that incident.I think Hojlund is a great young prospect but he needs to grow up f**king quick in this game. He had chance to win a pen and get Stones sent off. F**k being honest, you get nothing for it.
I know it’s about the domination but my first thought when seeing that was “meh, not like we would score from corners anyway.”Onana been our best player so far. Even before the Gordon Banks save.
At around 40 minutes there was a stat comers 0-6, I remember saying well at least it’s not goals. That’s really how much city dominated us and what we have become.
Why? So he can run in to three players? We need to get Rashford into the game
Yes, switched back to tennis during that half, we just accept being dominated at OT, basically, everyone is passive. Penalty was a joke though but to be expected with Oliver in VAR room.Anyone else genuinely just bored?
To let them camp on the edge of our box for 40 minutes and have a dozen chances?Could see the game plan and to be fair it was working.
It is embarrassing to be honest. Boys against men at the moment. I expect us tk get battered again second half. Was it like 9 corners to 3 this first half?Yes indeed.
Our lack of technical ability compared to City is scandalous.
But we still have to work significantly harder to close down the gaps.
Is Hojlund had gone down when Stones had his arm around him, we would have had a pen as well. Hojlund not as streetwise.Soft pen shocker
Yeah keeping our GD at -3 may prove important later in the seasonAnybody taking 0-1 FT score?!
Yeah they're saying pen by the letter of the law but incidents like this happen all the time, they're never given and United should feel hard done by.Peacock saying the penalty was soft
But he is far from the only one is he.Need to take our chances when we get them.
Literally thought we were down to 10 men as forgot Rashford was playing. He’s been invisible. Onana really has come onto a game. That Haaland header save was beyond incredible.
I'm quite confident we can accidentally bundle the ball into their net somehow. It might end up finishing 1-2 or 1-3.Anybody taking 0-1 FT score?!
Think that he's pretty spotted on for once. Our player are too honest. Amrabat would have fell down as well. Grealish hit him pretty hard.Interesting, I agree fully with what Shearer has said there. Can see why it's a penalty, but those pulls happen multiple times a game and never get called, so will we see them called from now on?
He also suggested other players may have gone down from that push Stones gave Hojlund.
He also needs to get himself into the game more.We need to get Rashford into the game
Of Oliver and Tierney negotiating how to split the payment?Wonder if they'll release the VAR audio...
So that he can carry some kind of threat or what’s the pointWhy? So he can run in to three players?
Most of the teams beating City will need things to go their way. Up until the penalty I don't think we were camping AS much. There was a period we were under the cosh up to that point but we did go at them.To let them camp on the edge of our box for 40 minutes and have a dozen chances?
Maybe to use as a blindfold.why does that kid want Gary's tie? has anyone seen it?
Hojlund is not creative nor technical sound. That’s the reason a few break chances went nowhere. It should not surprise anyone.I don't think City look great defensively but we don't make the right decisions to punish them
Its the opposite. Maguire is all over Stones, but Stones hasnt forced his run through getting away from him and into a zone where he can get to the ball. Its also outside the box so would be less dangerous. Rodri has less impact from Hojlund's arm, but he's goalside and the contact is interfering with his chances of turning the ball in. Rodri knows he'll probably get it and goes down.I don't understand Carragher and Richards at half time. How can it be the right decision if every single game has an incident like that that doesn't get punished? So are we saying that the refs are getting it wrong every single game now?
Rodri is free because Stones steps across Maguire and makes no attempt to play the ball, meaning he can't follow Rodri. Is that not a foul? It's a foul in the middle of the pitch in open play.
Definite conflict of interest, in regular jobs people have to declare any other interests, they should have to publish it online for all referees each season, would be interesting reading one thinks...City do a good job of having a relative amount of separation so they are never truly tied to these things.
Although it's clearly a conflict of interest
