I'm off to watch Wrexham against Newcastle U21 in the EFL cup tonight with my stepkids.

Looking forward to it actually, will be nice to go to a match and not really care about the result.

Gillingham who are topping the league have five wins and two losses, goal difference 5-5.

I don't think it's anomalies at this point, I don't watch on iFollow, just the games I go too.... but their setup and style is identical to last year, just now at a better level. Parkinson barely shows any idea of a plan B...

Another weird anomaly of a game. This is like the 3rd or 4th game where they've not been bad, but just conceded on nearly every shot on target, which is not normative.

3 shots on target, 3 goals conceded.
Are they the Welsh version of United?

I thought Ben Foster retired?
Me too

Again, another match in which Wrexham registered more attempts on goal but conceded every shot on goal. It happened once and I was like, "huh". It happened again and I thought, "weird". This is like the fourth time and it's just the most curious thing. They're not being peppered with shots in these games. Not dominated........just beaten with every shot on goal.

Anyone watched the last few episodes? The one about autism was very interesting. Also loved the bits about Dorking's lunatic owner/manager. Madlad.

Some fun looking scoreline esecially regarding those 2 teams already in League 2. 4-2, 4-3, 3-5, 5-5, and a 5-4.

Beat Notts County 2 nil away from home. Now only 1 goal scored behind NC in 3rd place. They have the same gd.

Just seen that. Excellent. All I want is another good season of the documentary. Another promotion will help.

It's certainly interesting to follow, what has become, their rivalry now. Promotion is certainly easier in this division.
Two of the oldest clubs in the world dogfighting their way up through the leagues together is a nice little story. Hope they both manage to go up again.

Notts Co seem to be playing great football and only using free transfers from my limited knowledge - a genuine football manager story

Didn't Notts get taken over about 15 years ago? Seem to remember Sol Campbell being there.

I had a look at wiki as I have no clue and looks like a chequered ownership history to say the least, there's even a link to Qatar in there - the original Jassim bid! Interestingly the current owner's company seem to be like a mini Starlizard.
