Allegedly 16k spectators were there.
But yes, what a pointless club.
When looking for the tweet I shared to verify the emptiness of the stadium I actually found a Wolfsburg fan mocking Leipzig's away fans.

Make no mistake, Leipzig‘s away support is dreadful but they can at least somewhat fill their home games. Rich of a Wolfsburg supporter to take shots at them.

They exist? I always thought of the Wolfsburg stadium as some sort of correctional facility where they put in naughty VW employees for *educative* measures

That would be the logical assumption. But my observations of Leverkusen fans suggests that if you spend some time in their natural habitat you'll encounter a couple of them in the wild.

Is he? Haller and Füllkrug haven't been impressive lately, or did I miss something?
Haller's body reportedly has some "hangover-effect" from his illness. He apparently returned in terrible condition after the summer break and is only slowly getting back into shape He has no business starting.
Füllkrug has been doing okay without being great. I'd be very surprised if he doesn't start against Bayern.

But it's not just resting Füllkrug. Reyna has two starts all year and was hooked at half time against Frankfurt.

Bynoe-Gittens barely has any starts either.

Playing any one of them would be reasonable, Reyna less so, Moukoko more so, after their performances against Frankfurt.

But playing all three together? When, cup aside, they have about 370 minutes played (1G 0A) between them? Against a serious opponent that put the team under a lot of pressure only a few weeks ago, that won all their away games this season?
The headlines will write themselves if this goes badly.

I get what you are saying now... wasn't aware how little role these players had so far this season as I didn't pay that much attention to Dortmund to be honest

I get it: at some point it becomes depressing to watch someone else's tactical perfection every week.

In fairness at least Reyna and Bynoe-Gittens had a fair share of injury problems recently so it makes sense to take it slow with them.

Terzic is clearly a genius, I don't know why you simpletons would ever doubt his lineups.

In all honesty I like the lineup, it makes sense to rest some guys and as you pointed out all of those mentioned need to play some matches. I am as surprised as you are how well it has worked out thus far but if you look more closely it is pretty much what we could expect. We have boatloads of creativity up front, in that regard this is probably our best performance this season. On the other hand a more clinical team than Hoffenheim would have punished some of our defensive errors.

I guess playing Bynoe Gittens on the left was smart, since Bebou isn't really a defender.
But the biggest factor perhaps doesn't lie in the young attacking trio, but the fact that Brandt and Özcan are playing in central midfield, so Dortmund have a better presence there than usually, which also matches up well against Hoffenheim being a bit light in that area with their 343.

I don't think I've ever seen a single game of Harm Osmers that wasn't terrible.

That is one of the most baffling decisions I have seen  Fortunately it does not really matter at this point.

I was not aware that Saarbrücken has played in the Bundesliga in the past (76-78, 85-86, 92-93) so we played them 8 times including a whopping 6-1 defeat (but also 5-1 and 7-1 victories).

Holy crap Müller and Sané are totally out of sync.
Sané's defensive contributions are better than the offensive ones so far, but I count that as a positive. His workrate is very good and he doesn't stop for a round of moping after losing a ball.

Who is going to play at CB against Dortmund? Shouldn't Tuchel just use Stanisic instead of midfielders?

Edit: "klein gegen groß" with Peter Maffay. Unfortunate wording by ARD.

These cup games when both teams are precisely on eye level are always the best, aren't they?

Terrible man marking by Kimmich, he has to do better if he wants to be a top tier CB.

Well, well, well.. what an interesting second round it has been.

Was Kane injured? Or did Tuchel decide to rest him? Couldn't really blame him for it, if he did, but the press will do so anyway.

So we only have 6 BL teams left with 8x 2. BL, 1x 3. BL and one RL team? That's wild...
