The red card changed the game in their favor, there is no doubt about that. But ultimately we aren't good enough to hold on with 10 men. We should be, but we aren't. I don't even know what EtH should be doing. There is no accounting for the suicidal passes from AWB and Varane and the non-existent marking from Dalot. Maybe EtH shouldn't be playing Dalot at all seeing as how bad he is at defending, but AWB and Varane are the best we have. The lack of composure in what are supposed to be international footballers is inexcusable.

I just feel sad for Hojlund. The kid scored a brace in two CL matches now and has nothing to show for it. Must be frustrated just like the rest of us at the state of this team.

3 pts after 4 games, and it would be 1 pt if not for a lucky pen save. We could have scored 10 before the red card, they would have scored 11 after it.

Just wasted another 2 hours of my life again. Cheers lads.
Of you're wasting time "supporting" your team, I'd go as far as to suggest you're not actually a true supporter at all.

Any time I spend supporting my team isn't wasted, win, lose or draw.

Our in game management is amateurish. You can say all you like about it being fecked by the ref, but plenty of teams go down to 10 men and can handle it. We just immediately crumble, we get given a lifeline and instead of playing the game out we crumble again.

It's not a one off, it happens time and time again. Something seriously wrong with the entire club that this happens, from the Management making poor decisions to the players bottling it.

The only positive I can take out of that was the first 20 minutes, we played decent stuff.
Mental midgets and it starts with the head coach.

Varane… what happened to him? He was so good last season. He’s given up?
Looks like he doesn't give a flying feck anymore and pretty sure he's downed tools at this point. It's not official but it's pretty obvious him and ETH have had disagreements at some point this season.

Tbh, with all the achievments in his career, and a very good season from him last year considered, I completely get where he's coming from if he's a bit miffed he's lost his place to a 36 year old Jonny fecking Evans. Didn't we comfortably possess the best defensive record in the league at home last year, with him being a key part of that? I don't think Evans has been bad but let's not kid ourselves. Varane is several levels above when fit.

2013/14 - knocked out by Bayern in quarters after beating Olympiacos with a comeback
2015/16 - 3rd in group stage with Wolfsburg, PSV and CSKA Moscow
2017/18 - knocked out by Sevilla in last 16 at Old Trafford
2018/19 - knocked out by Barca easily after that comeback at PSG
2020/21 - 3rd in group stage with PSG, Leipzig and Istanbul Basaksehir
2021/22 - knocked out by Atletico at Old Trafford in last 16
2023/24 - most probably going to finish 3rd/4th in group with Bayern, Galatasaray and Kopenhagen

7 CL seasons since Fergie retired. Only progressed 4 times and then beaten pretty comfortably by Bayern, Sevilla, Barca and Atletico. Other 3 times we couldn't finish in top 2 places of our groups despite being favourites in all situations.

We've been irrelevant in Champions League since 2011 Final. More than a decade.

As embarrassing as it is, Evans is our best cb.

Ten Hag needs to come out swinging now, we are getting shat on by refs every week, needs let them know they are shitc**ts and we will not accept it anymore

Bitter end.

I thought, we were quite alright in 1st half, I thought we did also just fine with 10 men but you need a little luck out there. Red card was harsh, the two pens were ughh (but at least consequential) but apart from that. Catching a goal after a set piece is just so disappointing.

I see it as a positive, that we go aggressive most of the time, I just feel that its a little too much "riding the dragon". We are simply not solid enough at the back. Kopenhagen took some time to get up to speed, I think, we did something unexpected, maybe the wingers who defended so narrow but after a little while that faded away and it became an even game.

I don't really know how to analyse that game, brilliant, dreadful, baffling and utterly chaotic.

Win our remaing two games an we will go through probably. Shame those games are away at Galatassary and home to Bayern. No European football beyond Christmas by the looks of things.

Definite red. Both pens ridiculous though.
Yep. The 2nd was even more farcical as it was headed onto the guy's hand from cm away.
I thought that sort of nonsense had stopped being a pen.

Unlucky contextually but poor game management, hilarious how many had much to say about Ange under similar circumstances, you just can't write it.
It wasn't at all poor game management though, we conceded due to sloppy errors from our defenders, and our most experienced one in Varane was rubbish.

Ange had Spurs playing a crazy high line and getting caught out repeatedly, we took all the sting out of the match until AWB and Varane suddenly became terrified of the football.

This season is going to be a hard watch

Glimpses of quality in a sea of mediocrity

Feel sorry to Hojlund (again)

Bruno Fernandes needs to stop moaning if he ever wants to be a good captain. He is not a leader.

We aren't very good, are we? In fact, we are pretty horrible for a top club. The Glazers have ended the Glory at the club. They have stifled our growth.

We are collapsing with every game.

Can't blame the players, 'cos there is not one world beater in that team. Except Martinez and he's out injured.

Can't blame the manager, 'cos he was only partially backed in the market, and has to deal with a lot of backlogged deadwood, as all manager have had to after Fergie.

The board and the football people at the club are all from the stone age. The stadium is in ruins. The academy players barely succeed, the training facilities are out-dated.

The club is dying. It is all rotten.

And add to that our disastrous misfortune with disallowed goals, and penalties given against us, we are really cursed.

Every facet of this club is a contributor to the overall demise of the club. Can't really point to one single factor.

Coupled with all our competitors in the league heading in the upward trajectory, it will be long, dark years ahead.

The Night is dark, and full of terrors.

Weird game because I thought that for large parts of the game we played very well. We controlled possession and the tempo. Obviously the red card changed everything, but you could see at the start of the 2nd half we were back in control. Our issue comes from moments of total and utter madness at the back. Calamitous is the only word I can think of. It must be so frustrating for the players who are really trying hard, because you could see the players out there busting a gut and trying to make something of the game. A hugely frustrating result from an even more frustrating team.
None of our defenders are actually very good. The best two by quite a mile are Martinez and Shaw, especially in terms of overall footballing ability, but they're both injured.

Actually played alright tonight but there's just no character with this team when they have to deal with a bit of adversity. It was the same last season.

Rashford's red and the two Copenhagen goals happened within about 5 minutes of eachother and the same happened with the two goals in the second half. You have to lock it off in those circumstances and we never do. Naive.

Another night of farce and embarrassment - the United shitshow rolls on.

At the start of the season it was head in hands stuff - properly miserable, but now I just find myself laughing at this team. It's so bad it's actually becoming quite entertaining.

You just know we'll find a way to have 2nd in our hands late on v Bayern but screw it and end in the dreaded Europa killing any chance of a late league attempt at 5th.

Ref was an absolute cnut. He literally told Bruno to get on with taking the corner when he was having shit thrown at him. Despite that being completely against protocol.

Dalot switching off to let them score the 3rd killed us. Defended good until that point.

I can't compain about the effort after going down to 10 men. But we've got ourselves in this situation losing to Galata at home.

As soon as the red card we were losing that game.

Never known a group of United players to be so fragile - any whiff of pressure and they’re just gone.

Soft arse red and VAR gives me heartburn but what’s new.

We don’t do the simple things right.

Lack of professionalism. Blame the ref all you want, we threw the game away ourselves.

None of the pens where pens and the red card was just laughable imo.

But also these players just have a knack for losing matches in the most stupid ways. Dalot again directly at fault for a goal against, Varane has been awful this whole season. And AWB, wtf was that pass?? Also Amrabat looks like a headless chicken with the ball at his feet.

Another thing, Varane seems to give two sh*ts about MU and ETH, it's a double edge sword. Cause ETH doesn't trust Varane it seems(rightfully so) and Varane seems to not like ETH and MU so it affects his performances. Needs to be shipped away to Saudi.

Losing the lead after the red could be understandable.

Losing the lead before halftime is completely unacceptable

Hard done by the referee but qualification still possible. We move on! Get that important win against Luton and reset during the break. Still trust ETH but hard done by the players and injuries.

No I've only supported them for over 30 years but obviously you know best. This United side has weakest mentality I've ever seen in 30 years of supporting this club. A tiny bit of adversity and they fold like a cheap deckchair. Thier absolutely pathetic, a team full of losers.

Remember when Højlund scored 2 great goals and we looked in total control of the match?

Good times

Scholes says post match “Listen, I know we’ll come up against better sides than Copenhagen, but you know, I saw a little bit of fight there tonight”

Getting beat 4-3 by Copenhagen and the best he can see is a “bit” of fight, my god we are so so bad. Anyone still saying keep this clown ETH ?

For those saying tonight wasn't about game management are completely wrong.

Jose Mourinho does not lose that game. Purely based on game management and making the right substitutions to see the game out.

Pure chaos to not get at least a draw out of that game. Yes Copenhagen had the man advantage for an hour but once United was 3-2 ahead 82 minutes played they should not be losing from that position yet did from dreadful unforgivable defending.

Champions league campaign will be officially ended in Turkey in a couple of weeks and TBH a group of players lacking leadership and can't defend have no business going any further.

We lost to a third rate team. But my main annoyance was ETH taking off our 2 goal number 9 and bringing on Mount when we needed a goal.

I'm pretty chill about this result actually

We'll never win the CL with this squad but we have a chance to win Europa

I know which competition I'd rather us partake in

We're United and I hope we don't have to start begging for CL funds like other clubs
