Comfortable game without the ridiculous red and pen. Truly boring stuff once again.

Our in game management is amateurish. You can say all you like about it being fecked by the ref, but plenty of teams go down to 10 men and can handle it. We just immediately crumble, we get given a lifeline and instead of playing the game out we crumble again.

It's not a one off, it happens time and time again. Something seriously wrong with the entire club that this happens, from the Management making poor decisions to the players bottling it.

The only positive I can take out of that was the first 20 minutes, we played decent stuff.

VAR is a joke. Sending off Rashford and immediately ignoring the offside on Copenhagen's first goal are outrageous. The penalty Maguire won was a joke too, but at least that's consistent with the number of penalties given against us.

Ten Hag should come out attacking the officiating, but he won't. This went from an impressive performance by United to yet another colossal failure with the second half performance.

Just like Galatasaray, it was meant to be Højlund's night, but we lose the game and all his efforts come to nothing...

Our luck this season is just laughable.

Just another in a long list of games where we've been completely stitched up by the referee. Honestly feels like they're looking for any reason to disallow our goals, send our players off or give penalties against us. It's beyond a joke now.

I mean we are used to losing but today is another low point.
Copenhagen are a crap team and until the red card it looked like we are playing a training game against a third league team.
It is hard to understand how one red card can lead to conceding 4 goals.
There are fundamental flaws all over the place.

Remember when we used to be able to use games like this to play the 2nd string? Now we're playing our best available team, and still struggling.

I'd usually never want us to lose, but the Europa League is shite. If we just tank the last 2 games from here, and we'll have (mostly) 1 game a week in the 2nd half of the season.

We’ve had one performance this season to cheer about (3-0 Palace). Shocking, embarrassing, laughable, angering, take your pick for the word to use.

Was always going to be a real test, and Ten Hag made sure the players knew this before hand. A brave effort, but in the end when you're going up against one of the best Copenhagen sides of the last 5 years you have to play a perfect match. As soon as Rashford was sent off there was only so much Scott McTominay could do.

Dalot and Varane were poor and completely at fault for the capitulation.

We seemed to have a plan to deal with the red and it was working, but falling asleep and giving goals away like that is unforgivable.

The sooner we have access to Luke Shaw and Martinez the better, but the season will be gone by then.

Shit happens in football. And when it does, ETH has no clue how to handle it.

The red was unlucky, but we can’t let it affect us this much.

No game management. The red card was harsh, but we should have calmly held the lead.

We conceded 4 goals to FC Copenhagen. There are no good signs. Whatsoever. This is an absolute travesty.
We played most of the game with 10 men away from home against CL opposition in a hostile atmosphere and managed to keep it competitive. Considering how we've been this season, this is a big plus of a performance.

Agreed. How we can bottle it twice in the same game is a joke.

The worst thing is I don't think anyone was even surprised come the end of it, before the 4th went in I was already half expecting it.

fecking Dalot ball watching on both goals...ffs he's such a shit defender

hindsight but why not bring on Regulon after we went up 3-2 b/c he's a better pure defensive player

Really good performance for most of the first half and then it all went to shit. Criminal if we don't qualify from this group.

I'm more upset at the refs for today than anything. We've always been shit with 10 men. We aren't going to magically be good with 10 when we're shit with 11.

Though I saw a lot to be encouraged about with 11 today. But it's very fragile as the midfield and backline is pretty horrendous. The front 4 is something we should persist with though.

Progression in the CL though, who really cares to be honest. Don't care about Europa either. Need to rebuild properly regardless of what European competitions we are in and being out of Europe completely is a big league advantage to implement your ideas, trim the squad and start fresh as you don't have fixture congestion. It's the reset we need.

Remember that episode of The Simpsons where all the kids turn off Itchy and Scratchy in disgust and indifference because they got rid of violence, then go outside and do other things blissfully?

I‘m at that stage now
I'm tempted to buy the new FM game and play with a cheat on

His lack of game management at the end of both halves wasn't good enough.

Not making the necessary subs today should cost him his job. It was clear that we didn't need Garnacho on to see out the game. We needed an extra defender or midfielder.

This is sadly true.
And let's face it: the chances of us going far even if we somehow manage to get to the knockout stages is, realistically speaking, a big fat zero. We will be a lot better off playing in a competition where we actually have a chance of winning.

We were never winning the CL anyway. Rashfords red and Evans injury changed the game. Amrabat is getting found out at this level. Say what you want about maguire but at least he puts a shift in. Varane has one foot out the door.

Shocking performance! We folded like a pack of cards after the red card. No character, no bottle, no backbone. Worst I've seen in years. And a totally worthless bench.
