Everyone saying he's safe until the Rat Pack come in...to be fair, that could be next week (:wenger:), thus after the Liverpool game.

Should've gone weeks ago, months really, it's been apparent since last season things aren't right and since the start of this one it has got worse and worse.

We've accepted 7-0 loss is OK as a club so I doubt the inevetiable loss on Sunday will change anything.

Ratcliffe won't be so forgiving of incompetence, though, so the sooner they come in the better in that regard.

We're not a serious club so we'll just carry on. The fans should be going ballistic but instead many want more and more. It's just like Ole all over again. Fortunately Ratcliffe should be in within the next couple of months and, if he's a serious as he says, then he'll put us out of our misery.
I don't think that'll change anything at all. Unfortunately, I think he's also a passive/weak owner. What we needed was an involved authoritarian type, but I can see Ratcliffe buckling into the "needs time" narrative.

CL is gone, out with a whimper. Catastrophic results both nationally and in Europe this season. Pressure has been mounting on EtH, but say, a 4-0 loss on Sunday will surely be the final nail in the coffin.

I don't want him to go, but it seems inevitable.
You don’t want him to go? Explain yourself!

Ratcliffe isn't actually taking over. He's a minority owner.
Yeah I know, I mean the sporting side. Our sporting side is having a takeover and big changes, so I get it that no decision is being made (though it really should anyway)

Our fans did that. Being calm and zen was more important, than actually holding your club to a standard. We're a historic club who somehow inherited a smalltime fanbase.

Is Neville still saying he needs to be given until the end of the season.

Why?

So he can destroy any chance we have of Europe, we aren't that far behind despite how bad we've been. Get rid now and change it up!!!

I don't see a change being until Sir Jim is in control. It may happen then, but not before.
This!!

Would be weird/mad to make a change now, although it might become untenable when we don’t win again until Wigan in a replay at OT, which I have l just bravely predicted in the pub

He won't be managing Man Utd next season but zero chance he's going anywhere soon. Glazers aren't going to act before they're handing their mess over to Ratcliffe, and that appears to be going at snails pace.
Which is why I loathe them even more.

They. Just. Don't. Give. A. Feck !!!!!

Conte on an interim on the same type of deal as Spurs.

He 100% should be but I’m afraid he won't be because we have no money.

I would be not surprised if we lose 0-8 against Liverpool and nothing will change.

Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus

It's anybodies guess really.

I should clarify though, I think Ratcliffe will obviously bring in DoFs and maybe Blanc, and I think they'd have managers in mind they prefer. So I can't see them putting up with ETH for no reason.

Hopefully. What we need is someone who ignores the narratives, media and especially the fanbase with the rhetoric around managers.

Unfortunately, I think the voices are maybe too loud and they keep nudging the club into running the inefficient way it does.

this is a very good point. We need people confident enough to run the club with their own ideas and not sway with public opinion

Don't think a loss to Liverpool will do it. He will be gone before the end of Feb, though.

Everyone acts like it's just the manager. The players are shite and not good enough, it doesn't take a genius to figure that out.

The ridiculous amount of times that we lost the ball tonight due to missing an easy pass or a really poor touch, and it happens game after game! The technical level of these players is so poor and we are many levels away from the elite. Any manager that walks in the door will struggle with this team. Ten Hag isn't going anywhere.

With the extra injuries we have now, the line-up is nightmare-inducing:

———————Onana
AWB——Varane——Evans——Dalot
————Amrabat——McT
Antony————Mainoo———Garnacho
———————Hojlund

Anything better than 5-0 defeat and I’ll call it a win.

The sad thing is if he does go, who are the viable options to replace him that would actually improve us?
Anyone else really, anyone.
We are shit, and Ten Hag is actively making the making the same stupid choices that are keeping us shit.

Nah he won’t go. Going out of Europe could be a blessing in disguise over the second half of the season. Get through these next 2 weeks still in touch and get bodies back.
We can almost pick a team of injured / missing players now heading into the Liverpool game

Malacia Magure Martinez Shaw

Casemiro

Mount Eriksen

Amad. Fernandes Sancho

with Rashford and Martial ill

Odds we could lure Xabi Alonso over to us?
Sounds crazy, but I wouldn't mind it, for the sole reason that having a Dipper in charge means he wouldn't be coming in with an insane amount of unearned goodwill that every manager gets from the fans here.

I'd say he'll be gone on the 27th after the losses to West Ham and Villa.

I doubt it. You could put Stevie G in charge of us, and the Fergie comparisons would be out in force.

I think the only real solution is to anonymise the manager. A bit like The Stig from top gear, so that our fans don't know who the manager is at any given time. Deprive them of a **** leader to rally around.

I don't think as a club we have enough professional pride to be bothered by it. The fanbase seem to enjoy those batterings for the most part. It's why they egg the club on for more of them.
This is only because the fanbase loves the faux outrage from fan channels like The United Stand. When we are bad they (fan channels) make a LOT more money.

That's the bit a lot of people seem to be missing. I'm not sure there's even anyone at the board level keeping an eye on the results nevermind the games.
