Everyone saying he's safe until the Rat Pack come in...to be fair, that could be next week (), thus after the Liverpool game.
I don't think that'll change anything at all. Unfortunately, I think he's also a passive/weak owner. What we needed was an involved authoritarian type, but I can see Ratcliffe buckling into the "needs time" narrative. We're not a serious club so we'll just carry on. The fans should be going ballistic but instead many want more and more. It's just like Ole all over again. Fortunately Ratcliffe should be in within the next couple of months and, if he's a serious as he says, then he'll put us out of our misery.
Ratcliffe isn't actually taking over. He's a minority owner. He won't leave until Ratcliffe takes over. The current people in charge couldn't give a feck about on the pitch performance.
You don’t want him to go? Explain yourself!CL is gone, out with a whimper. Catastrophic results both nationally and in Europe this season. Pressure has been mounting on EtH, but say, a 4-0 loss on Sunday will surely be the final nail in the coffin.
I don't want him to go, but it seems inevitable.
Yeah I know, I mean the sporting side. Our sporting side is having a takeover and big changes, so I get it that no decision is being made (though it really should anyway)Ratcliffe isn't actually taking over. He's a minority owner.
Our fans did that. Being calm and zen was more important, than actually holding your club to a standard. We're a historic club who somehow inherited a smalltime fanbase.Should've gone weeks ago, months really, it's been apparent since last season things aren't right and since the start of this one it has got worse and worse.
We've accepted 7-0 loss is OK as a club so I doubt the inevetiable loss on Sunday will change anything.
Ratcliffe won't be so forgiving of incompetence, though, so the sooner they come in the better in that regard.
Mate fecking Ole himself would improve us. People say this as if we have been quality and just in a bad rut of form or something. The sad thing is if he does go, who are the viable options to replace him that would actually improve us?
This!!I don't see a change being until Sir Jim is in control. It may happen then, but not before.
Which is why I loathe them even more.He won't be managing Man Utd next season but zero chance he's going anywhere soon. Glazers aren't going to act before they're handing their mess over to Ratcliffe, and that appears to be going at snails pace.
Knowing us we’d probably give it to Steve McLaren till the end of the season. The sad thing is if he does go, who are the viable options to replace him that would actually improve us?
I like thisHe's gong like donkey kong broslice
We could lose in double figures and nothing will change. There'll still be calls for backing the manager here.I would be not surprised if we lose 0-8 against Liverpool and nothing will change.
It's anybodies guess really.I don't think that'll change anything at all. Unfortunately, I think he's also a passive/weak owner. What we needed was an involved authoritarian type, but I can see Ratcliffe buckling into the "needs time" narrative.
Give it to Ole. He did well as an interim manager. But don't offer him a fulltime contract this time. The sad thing is if he does go, who are the viable options to replace him that would actually improve us?
Hopefully. What we need is someone who ignores the narratives, media and especially the fanbase with the rhetoric around managers. It's anybodies guess really.
I should clarify though, I think Ratcliffe will obviously bring in DoFs and maybe Blanc, and I think they'd have managers in mind they prefer. So I can't see them putting up with ETH for no reason.
this is a very good point. We need people confident enough to run the club with their own ideas and not sway with public opinionHopefully. What we need is someone who ignores the narratives, media and especially the fanbase especially the rhetoric around managers.
Unfortunately, I think the voices are maybe too loud and they keep nudging the club into running the inefficient way it does.
Anyone else really, anyone. The sad thing is if he does go, who are the viable options to replace him that would actually improve us?
Sounds crazy, but I wouldn't mind it, for the sole reason that having a Dipper in charge means he wouldn't be coming in with an insane amount of unearned goodwill that every manager gets from the fans here.Odds we could lure Xabi Alonso over to us?
I doubt it. You could put Stevie G in charge of us, and the Fergie comparisons would be out in force.Sounds crazy, but I wouldn't mind it, for the sole reason that having a Dipper in charge means he wouldn't be coming in with an insane amount of unearned goodwill that every manager gets from the fans here.
Sure they do...just not the right one.Who would sack him?
That itself should change your mind. The interim CEO won’t. And the Glazers don’t even know a football season is happening
This is only because the fanbase loves the faux outrage from fan channels like The United Stand. When we are bad they (fan channels) make a LOT more money.I don't think as a club we have enough professional pride to be bothered by it. The fanbase seem to enjoy those batterings for the most part. It's why they egg the club on for more of them.
Put him on trial in Den HaagTen Hag gets away with utter shite that no one else does
He should be a criminal
That's the bit a lot of people seem to be missing. I'm not sure there's even anyone at the board level keeping an eye on the results nevermind the games.I don't see a change being until Sir Jim is in control. It may happen then, but not before.
