Other than Hojlund vs Galatasaray at home none of our attackers have had a game anywhere close to that.

I thought he’d be good pretty bad the first half of the season so surprised by how well he’s playing at the moment. I wonder how good he’ll look around Feb/March.

His worst attribute was always his attitude and I’m sure this whole experience has humbled him. He now has a family to deliver for too.

Whoever he plays for next, it looks like they’ll be getting a £70-100 million pound player. Maybe even more than that, if his mentality is better.

He's just a much more talented and skilled player than Antony and Rashford - even after being a year away from football.
No surprise.

It certainly does make one frustrated Greenwood let us down with off-field antics.

Sad, bitter fact is no matter how talented, he's got to go. I hope he maintains rehabilitation but if he comes back to United it would simply be too toxic, and he's only got himself to blame.

Most likely will see Griezman at United before Greenwood is capable of returning, and I doubt we'll see Greenwood at an EPL club, either. England National Team? No chance.

Antoine Griezmann after Atlético Madrid 3-3 Getafe: “Mason Greenwood was really causing us problems in the second half, we couldn’t stop him and it cost us the game.”

I find it funny that some people believe the club will let a 70mil asset go and then spend money buying another right winger

I was not aware that he was stripped of his British citizenship?

Only Manchester United could make the mistake to sell a player like Greenwood!!

It would only make sense for FFP reasons.

I'd take him back personally
So would I. Given the club conducted an internal investigation and found him to be not guilty of what he was accused.

Secondly, as post put in a little earlier there has not been a forward line performance like that from any of our personnel this season in any match.

Does anyone really think if United went to the Metropolitano they would come away with positive outlook.

The only player on current form, who might relish that stage from a mental perspective is Garnacho.

The performance discussion should reopen.

It is a shame to have both topics amalgamated.

Mason Greenwood| Please be respectful and stay on topic.

Well, that is what people are going to discuss (footballing or other issues). I can't see anyone going off at a tangent and writing something g about Boris Johnson.

Agree.

I came to this thread to talk about non performance related issues. So we can have that thread to discuss his performance. No idea why they closed it.

He's really impressive today imo. I'm just so tired of watching Antony. Really wish we can bring him back in Jan.

What about the victim and her parents?
More whataboutery.

I was not aware that he was stripped of his British citizenship?
Can't see him ever getting an England call-up until
innocence is absolutely established. So far he's not been charged as charges were dropped and has reconciled with his victim, but neither are proof of innocence.

We need to bring him back.
Too toxic. Need to crack on and not allow these type of disciplinary issues distract our own rehabiltation.

He's a supreme talent, generational almost, but there'll be other players.

The club statment told us that the audio we all heard was part of a longer clip. It's reasonable to think the additional audio introduces some degree of reasonable doubt.
It's quite possible but also there's reasonable doubt into whether or not crucial innocence is established.

The CPS dropped the case only after witnesses backed out and 'new evidence came to light'. It'd be interesting to see what this is, but, being the CPS, it's likely to be evidence harming a conviction chance more than anything else.

United declaring his innocence in their statement is controversial as neither the CPS nor Police stated he was.

United continued to suggest he's a goner because he 'acknowledged mistakes in his own conduct' which was not elaborated upon, either.

There'd be pressure to publish the findings of report, minute by minute, correspondence into the matter and then scrutiny to follow. Considering Arnold left under a cloud he might want to 'take a few down with him'.

It's not worth the hassle for one employee who has brought all of this upon themselves.

It was because posters that hold him in bad light came and wrote in the performance section, thus taking it off "discussion" on football and making it difficult for the moderator's.

*It you read the last 2 pages of the "performance" discussion, it was the majority of people who are extremely negative towards that swarmed that discussion after his good performance against Sevilla.

Overrated prick that has clowns creaming over him because of non-footballing reasons.

Thankful the club has enough good fans that there was a big enough backlash that this lad will never play for Man Utd again.

Yeah because it became some attempted safe space for people who ‘wished him well’ and hated that we got rid of him because ‘he’d be such a great player for us now’. He’s a blight on our history and we shouldn’t look at him in any other light.

Arnold had to leave because he voted against the Ratcliffe proposal in favour of Qatar/92 Foundation.

He is one of the main reasons alongside guide the Glazers why this has stalled so long.

His dithering with the Greenwood decision has cost United millions. The club did not have enough time to sell him and on the field they miss him like no one (but a few) would envisage. Rashford has gone back in his time machine to 2021, Hojlund gets worse service than a hotel that should be closed down, Sancho exiled and Martial is playing 50 year old.

Who could he take down with him?

I can't see Ratcliffe, Blanc, Ashworth, Mitchell and even Murtough (as he seems to well thought of) giving 2 excrement sessions about what he has to say.

I really wonder where he would’ve been today if the events of January 2022 didn’t take place.

It’s painful to see him doing so well when you imagine what he could’ve been doing for United and the money he potentially could’ve saved us on the Antony/Hojlund signings. That €170M could’ve been invested much better.

It would be incredibly stupid to give away a talent like Greenwood for cheap which is exactly what we're going to do. Watching Antony week after week is driving me crazy. I wish we could find a way to bring Mason back, we're going to badly regret letting him go. You won't find young players like him for cheap in this market. Just watched his performance against Atletico and he absolutely tortured their left flank. Beating their defenders over and over, unleashing ppwer shots which eventually led to goals for Getafe and just making life difficult for them in general. I don't think Antony could perform like this in the next 5 lifetimes yet we're likely stuck with him while Greenwood is on his way out

What on earth is wrong with that?

He iwas 20 years of age and If has made mistakes he deserves the chance to get in with his life.

A "blight on our history". Your speaking about him as if he is Adolf Hitler about to enforce the enabling act.

A reverse Godwin's law fail.

Why would anyone wish such a person well?

And I think Hitler would have had his contract cancelled.

It is almost as if something happened that has vastly reduced his value.

Personally hope we get him back simply because Antony is utterly shite, Rashy's struggling and Sancho will be gone. With Garnacho on the left and Greenwood on the right we could have our wing forward positions sorted for the coming 10 years.

Club in FFP difficulty and floundering on the pitch with this level of quality on their hands and people here think he's going to be sold for peanuts? Ha.

He's clearly talented, would walk into our starting XI. We need to bring him back.
