Antony just did but he was on his heels. Doesn't seem to have 'that' instinct to finish things off
Yeah. I was wondering, why did Hojlund position himself within a sea of West Ham CBs? How did he think Antony can find him there?

Of course, as soon as we implement our new teleporting chip into his brain that I have been hearing about so he can predict our wayward passes before they happen.
 Striker's job IS exactly that. To predict where pass will go. Same as for defenders. That is why some top defenders barely make a tackle in whole game and some (like Jones) are diving in tackles whole game.

    Oh do behave for once.

I’m starting to believe you’re just a troll, every single one of your posts are always so fecking negative
5th is maybe a step too far but he should be 4th choice. He's playing at exactly the level he should be. We just don't have any good options to start.

I'd sub Hojlund and put Rashford on. This game looks like it might just be decided by a moment and Rashford does have that in his locker.

Glad that Moyes not our coach anymore. Feck me, he is still playing so negative football. How on earth SAF recommended him to take over the helm?
Criminal negligence by Ferguson. Mind-boggling poor judgment, if you can even call it “judgment”.

I find United’s lack of cohesiveness and coaching alarming. And we once thought ETH and his progressive tactics would bring back the glory days…how off the mark we were, more so than some of our other previously failed managerial appointments.

Officiating in this league is absurd.. How is that a yellow for Evans and not for Paqueta??
Well Evans adamant he didnt touch the ball for a throw in. Complained and got a yellow card for dissent. Somewhere during all this the Ref awards a dangerous free kick.

Not sure I agree with that. I also think McT takes up a lot of positions that Højlund would otherwise take up.

I don't know why so many fans on here are so determined for Højlund to fail. Like it will somehow further prove how shit our recruitment is, and make them...happy?
I think you've created your own siege mentality. I rarely make negative posts about Hoijlund. That could have been my first. But it's clear his game has weaknesses otherwise he would not be on a goal drought in the PL.

There's nothing wrong in acknowledging McT's strengths. And no, oftentimes it's not that McT takes up Hoilund's positions. It's just that he reacts quicker, especially during transitions.

At least that's what I've noticed in the replays of our countless failed attacks.

Hojlund has been brutal for some time now, unfortunately. I didn't expect more than 10 goals out of him in the league this season, but to have zero halfway through? It's not good enough. I'm sure he is frustrated as well. The team is wholly dysfunctional, though, so it's not all on him. I still think he can come good.

Rashford has been awful. I wouldn't bring him on unless there is an injury

Just put the game on - watched the Garnacho "highlights" and can't help but laugh. The guy can't make good decisions to help him execute well. Took a shot with his right foot when he had space to shoot with his left? Squaring the ball into all those bodies when he should've shot?

I'm actually okay with how things are going. Should have been 2 -0 up on any other day.

Considering with all injuries, I would take a dry 1-0 win any day. Only points matters.

I am not sure that it is about coaching. This was pure instinct. Any decent striker with goal instinct would slide there even before Antony's pass.
Then he'd be on the floor nowhere near where the ball is...
    Have a day off.
He made a different run to the one the ball ended up being played for, he ends up with a tap in if the cross he expects is played as well. It's just down to a bit of chemistry missing in that situation.

It was also Antony crossing first time with his right foot, no one was really expecting that.

Antony produced the 2 best chances for us - one on a plate for Garnacho. Both are not good enough for us (Garnacho may not be ready to shoulder the attack yet if the others are all crap), but Antony has not been as bad as his last few games.
Disagree. Antony stalled the pass for Garnacho first chance and didn’t give him a great angle. Garnacho should have scored anyway. The second chance Antony mishit the pass which would have been intercepted but the defender slipped.

Shaw has had the upper hand in their duel thus far, it happens. but I like technically gifted players that are hard to dispossess. That instance that (wrongly) caused Evans to be booked is a good example
I like him, think he’s a decent player, not convinced he’s absolutely top quality though and as I say he’s been pretty poor today.

Who is determined for him to fail? Actually the overwhelming thing I see is everyone blaming the team and manager for him not scoring. It is obvious to anyone without an agenda that McT anticipation and movement is ahead of Hojlunds. Does not make him a better player

Our forwards really need to step up. Antony has actually done okay first half but the other two look off the pace

Moyes a one trick pony. Tries to claim a result by boring the opposition. Can probably count on one hand the amount of enjoyable games West ham have played since he took over.

How can you create chances for a player who is always out of position?
his position is actually very good, finds space and moves of the ball - unlike most of them and makes more runs in one game than martial does in six months

So true. Negligence and its cascading impact in terms of our other dismal managerial hires to rectify problems that should have been looked at during succession planning.

    There's only one United!
It's December. He has been here for 5 months and scored zero league. Are you trying to convince me he didn't get a single chance in any match for the last 5 months ?
Yes, he gets no decent service

Hojlund started off brilliantly, though a bit unlucky, but is now showing signs of regression.

    HELLO
We're in one of worst periods ever. Crowd dying to get into the match. 19 year old debutising at centre back. Keeper rife for fecking with and Moyesy is serving up this shit.

I think Hojlund will come good but there has to be a time when he brings him out for a game or two.
Yeah. Dont want to write off the kid but hard to overlook 0 goals in the league. Movement is bad atm.

In truth, overall we are decent. WH away is not an easy game and we are in control with having better chances. We will win this.
