It’s also bullshit that a player gets banned, has to miss matches but can’t train with the team at least to keep their career at some type of fitness level.

Benzema in 2009 was my biggest muppet moment in my time supporting the club, but it's waaaay too late to be signing him now. It's the exact kind of signing we should not be making.

Bringing in older players to fill a spot in the squad is fine as long as they have the right attitude and are cheap, both in transfer fee and wages. Benzema wouldn't be cheap, he's being unprofessional with his current club and sounds like he's also being lazy and mentally checked out, and he has a number of controversies in the past. Put all that together and people think it'd be a good idea to bring him into this current dressing room?
