Yep. His wedge game becomes suspect far too often on the weekendsFor Rory it's GIR he scrambles far to much at the masters, you need to be splid off the tee sure but you need to get on the greens in regulation

His strokes gained for approach shots last week was his best in nearly 5 years which indicates that maybe the advice he got from Butch Harmon has had some positive impact.Yep. His wedge game becomes suspect far too often on the weekends
Rory’s the best driver in the World, but his short irons have been off, distance control in particular. But he can play short irons, if he gets that right this week and drive accurately then he’s in for a big week. His record at Augusta is actually pretty decent, he just needs to have one of those weeks where he’s super consistent. For Rory it's GIR he scrambles far to much at the masters, you need to be splid off the tee sure but you need to get on the greens in regulation
He get the benefit of the wind unlike all others players? Just watching tigers group on 2 and none of them got close to the green.Bryson with a sensational opening round unfortunately
Ding ding ding.Hope a LIV guy doesn't win this! The drama will be nauseating!
That chip from behind the green in the water was brutal stuff. Not the first time he's made a quadruple bogey on this same hole.Spieth with a 9 on the 15th hole, that’s his tournament over
I thought he was consistent today. Bryson has been up and down between birdies and bogies. Scottie the same but slightly better.Really hope Max can pull it off
Definitely agree. He looks a million times more relaxed than he did last year when the pressure clearly got to him. Think his up and down on the first hole round 1 was vital to help settle him downI thought he was consistent today. Bryson has been up and down between birdies and bogies. Not sure either. Sure he has done this a couple times, been red hot then fell off a cliff, come back red hot a few months later.I'm out of the loop but what the hell has happened to Hovland? He looked completely unstoppable at the end of last year.
Trying to change his swing, on sky said he had 3 coaches in the last few months, no idea why he'd try that but that's why pretty muchI'm out of the loop but what the hell has happened to Hovland? He looked completely unstoppable at the end of last year.
Seems like a bad idea given how much he improved after hiring a short game coach!Trying to change his swing, on sky said he had 3 coaches in the last few months, no idea why he'd try that but that's why pretty much
True - but I am also glad that conditions are tougher this afternoon relatively so the early starters yesterday when the greens were soft don't have a huge advantageThe wind is a bit frustrating, I enjoy tough conditions but this seems pretty impossible to play in.
Especially after last years tournament where certain players absolute reaped the benefits of the Thursday/Friday times.True - but I am also glad that conditions are tougher this afternoon relatively so the early starters yesterday when the greens were soft don't have a huge advantage
It's just 1 over today right?6 over par for Bryson
Very lucky it went from +4 to +6Rory and Rahm may not even make the cut!
