Ruben Amorim - Manchester United Head Coach | Thread locked during matches

He loves serial underperformers like Hojlund, never drops him. Meanwhile Garnacho can dissent once and he’ll dropped. He really does have some weird standards.
Have you not noticed that Garnacho is now our only fit winger in the entire squad? He has to manage his minutes

Yep let’s sack another manager and watch the same players who will be on the their 4th full time manager do the exact same things while we berate the players the new manager brought in.

I’m not necessarily saying sack the manager but we can’t carry on as we are, something has to give, we’re 2 places above relegation ffs!

Something only Omar Berrada and co can explain. And they really should explain.

We needed somebody more flexible, not somebody fixed to one formation. United should never have a manager of that ilk, not unless we had immense quality like City or Livepool. I'm not saying Ruben is shite but he's not the guy we needed at this point in time, and we clearly don't have the finances to make this work even if his methods are the way to go.

Doesn't excuse the fact Amorim isn't good enough. Both can be true.

Have you not noticed we don't play with wingers and Garnacho hasn't played as wing back either? So what are you talking about?

Garnacho is capable of changing the game from the bench. Højlund is not.

The constant Rasmus selections are on him now. Rasmus nowhere near the level, hasn't been for some time and yet he plays. Like playing with 10 men. The coach deserves time but some of these players don't.

The football we’re seeing is some of the worst I’ve ever seen United play. There’s no indication it’ll improve. On what basis are we supposed to invest in him and in his philosophy in the summer if there’s no sign of improvements? We can’t just sign more players that another manager wants and be stuck with them later on.

The guy is massively out of his depth. The system does not suit the squad at all and we don’t have the individual brilliants in our attackers to make up for it.

We can change the manager and still replace players in the summer. Both things are not mutually exclusive. I don’t see so far much improvement and have major doubts about handing over to Amorim substantial funds to buy players that may be suited only for specific system.

There is literally no one else.

This system just doesn’t work for this squad. Every game it makes Dalot our number 1 threat and he couldn’t cross a road it’s an embarrassment.

We can’t do the basics of a professional sports team, we’re struggling to knock a ball around and string 5 passes together

It’s not all on the manager, he needs players but we don’t have the money so why the feck did we appoint a manager we can’t back to do the job we should have gone elsewhere

The entire game plan has been to get Diogo fecking Dalot in one v one isolations from the left wing

We looked competent when Ruud had us set up in his little interim run because he played to the strengths of the players.
And that's Ruud, who's looking out of his depth at Leicester.

Seriously when does this myth stop? We have like four or five players left from Ole’s last season.

Put Zirkzee or Bruno up top and reshape the players behind. Or Obi. Or we could ask a special request to the FA to play an actual bag of crap instead of Hojlund.

I hope he scores now and makes me look ridiculous.

These fecking players sacked Van Gaal and Mourinho too. Never underestimate how influential Lindelof and Shaw are.

We're a club who pay millions and wait for Ashworth.
Then a few months later sack him..for millions.

Whilst trimming loads of normal staff to save a fraction of the money wasted on the above.

It's an absolute sh!teshow.

On the pitch, it's worrying enough how we look right now, but most worrying is the quality in the squad has massively eroded over the last decade, as has the funds to buy our way out of it.

We're going to be limited to making a few 25m punts on the likes of Dorgu in the summer.

There was enough time to adapt to new system. So either our players are absolutely garbage or our coach have no idea what to do with this situation. We are basically saved from relegation but highly likely out of FA Cup and I can't believe we can do anything in EL (even though I bought a trip to Manchester from mainland Europe and starting to be very worried about what I will see live)

Lindelof doesn't seem the type who is influential in his house, let alone any sort of negative in a dressing room!

Just don’t understand Hojlund. I know he’s can’t score a goal but at least press and chase every single ball. How much time does the Fulham back line have to hold the ball? I’d rather see Obi start even if he’s just a kid. Hojlund’s appearance are just not acceptable.

I've said it since INEOS sacked Ashworth and the contentions around the cuts started happening. Amorim is not a manager you hire with financial restrictions in the market and a sell-to-buy policy given the demands of his system. He needs resources to succeed and even then it's no guarantee given his managerial inexperience at top level football.

Tuchel should have been the go ahead with PSR, unbalanced squad and a potentially less significant summer window. Berrada has diminished his reputation with this decision.

We looked competent because we were playing against Leicester, twice. Almost like the quality of players make the difference.
