IPL 2025

I try every year to get more into the IPL, still can't quite get it - but to help, I've stuck cash on CSK to make the top four as I read a bunch of previews suggesting they are near unbeatable at home due to the conditions discussed above.

Solid start, on another note - that Sunrisers pitch was awful to watch (IMO). Just baseball.

That went well

(Also not watched any of it - really has not caught on In the UK)

IPL is ridiculously unpredictable at this point so gambling on it is a complete guesswork really. The best teams win about 9 or 10 out of 14. On a day to day basis most games can go either way

This season has been like that. Maybe because first season after a mega auction so teams (especially big teams like MI and CSK) are still figuring out. In CSK's case they have just build a crap side. SRH are the big disappointment.

GT Delhi Punjab look great. And LSG are also doing great. Great chance for teams like Delhi or Punjab to open their account

Yeah it's very open this year but I think in most seasons on match to match basis it's very difficult to predict. At best games are like 60-40 to one team.

Punjab doing punjab things, how wadhera managed to waste 20+ balls scoring just above run a ball on this pitch is unbelievable. Abhishek should buy himself a lottery ticket while he is at it, dude's used up nearly entire tournament levels of luck this innings.

Remember all the excitement around Fraser-McGurk last year and the calls for him to replace Warner in Australia's T20 WC squad, he's been awful pretty much everywhere since.

There is a 14 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi opening of Rajathan Royals. Hit the 1st ball he faced for a 6 over cover of Shardul Thakur and then went on to hit Avesh Khan for a 6 of his first ball.

Can’t be 14 surely..

"He went past Yusuf Pathan record which was made when this sensational kid was not even born."

This is just insane stuff. Even if we believe the rumors that he actually 16 and not 14, it's still an amazing performance

I can't say it's something i recall, bud.

Think this one. I have no idea and don't follow this much but remember googling him and this was shared a lot

Video is 2 years old and think he says he will be 14 later that year

Aargh, thanks for the share! (albeit it lacked subtitles!). Yeah, someone got his age wrong (or misunderstood) back then, as it says he was born end March 2011.

Maybe he is 15 or 16 but still this innings was special. Pure class.

He says he was born on 27th Sept (2009)
His official date of birth is 18 months off.
Happens.. used to happen a lot in the past.. looks like its still a thing.

Not his fault..
Still, incredibly impressive for someone under 16.

Absolutely impressive, but how old is he then? Seems a lot of confusion around as the IPL themselves had him down as 14 years 1 month

The BCCI is strict on age fraud over the last decade but there is the occasional one. He's probably 15-16.

Thanks bud. I know these things do happen, especially in our developing countries (I’m South African). Was just curious as like you say, having the someone as official as the IPL (BCCI?) confirms his age, gave it lots of “credibility” (irrefutably) for me, who doesn’t know too much about the challenges that side.

I seriously doubt BCCI would be knowingly doing such things. Too much money involved to do such petty things. But yes could be a one where the player is maybe 15 and not 14.
