That centre half of theirs banned tooWonderful evening, fantastic result. No injuries and key injured players back. It couldn’t have gone much better. Let’s just do a professional job next week now….
Lets hope they can continue to perform to the levels shown this evening for the rest of the season.Casemiro is going nowhere, Garnacho has improved quite a bit in the last couple of months, unless he's sacrificed to fund a top level striker I don't see him leaving either
We scored 3 away and conceded 0. Cheer up a abit.If we were going into the home leg with a 4-0 or 5-0 lead, it would have been an almost impossible task for Bilbao.
3-0 should be good enough, but with this version of Utd, anything could go wrong.
Bilbao had to go safe and defensive in the 2nd half, otherwise the tie could have been out of sight.
Having kept the scoreline down to 3-0, their only option next week at OT, is to go all out gung-ho and attack us.
This Utd could quite easily concede goals, as we did against Lyon.
No complacency!
Unless we can get an early 2 goal lead, it could be much less comfortable ride than some are expecting.
.
Yes it's great to see. All credit to him for hanging in there and proving his quality. It's lovely to see Maguire having a bit of a renaissance and getting the credit for it. He's taken a lot more stick than has been justified over the last couple of seasons, in my opinion.
ProbablyAgreed but unless I’m mistaken he caused the problem himself in the first place
Great win. Zero confidence against Spurs
We're probably only PL club that would say that this season. They're quite a problem for us and have been under Ange from the start.
They're tailor made to beat us unfortunately, we're physically completely outmatched by them.
It's a really simple setup they have, loads of pace and power all over the pitch to press high and have van de Ven run really fast to mop things up, but we'll struggle with it as we aren't great at beating the press and the players we have that can do so will be easily chased down by them. On top of that, our forward players don't have the pace or ability to hold up the ball for us to go long effectively. The only real exception to this is Amad, we'll need him on top form to have a chance.
I'm praying the artificial pitch bamboozles them next week and they collapse.
Lads, it’s Spurs.
Aren’t they below us in the league? They’re useless and we’re gonna batter them
Cheer up
I love the confidence, unfortunately I don't share it. They're 2 points behind us in the league but there's a reason they've beaten us 3 times already this season.
Styles make fights. They're extremely strong in our weakest areas, and we aren't at all strong in theirs.
Have you got a mad short memory or something?Lads, it’s Spurs.
Aren’t they below us in the league? They’re useless and we’re gonna batter them
Cheer up
They created a great atmosphere. I hope our fans do the same next week. They were great. What is it you want from opposition fans?
What an odd reaction to that game.
United 1/1000 to qualify for the final, Bilbao 28/1![]()

Bookies really are miserable bastards.
Because normally it works for them I supposeNo idea why they decided to try to bully the ref but hey ho, their loss our gain.
Great performance, very happy.
look how they're behaving
Do they have the most annoying social media person from any European club? The shit talk before the game and now this image?
That depends on the sport I’d sayYeah, maybe but history is the context. I wouldn't go as far as call it a disgrace. I'm not sure the Queen would have gotten a minute's silence in Dublin, so it would have been foolish to expect it. The church's complicity in the Franco regime, which was particularly cruel in País Basco was real. Expecting people to be respectful to people they openly disrespect is a bit silly.
Their supporters were taking the piss out of Maguire before the game as well. Makes it even more amazing.Any team which Harry Maguire breaks defenders ankles twice and get a cross in deserve to lose haha
look how they're behaving
Was lively, earned us a penalty and a red - so usefulCouldn’t catch the game. How did Hojlund do?
I don't know but checked the ruling. Sit out after 3 yellows but quoting the rules as per:Who is on a yellow? Garnacho, Amad, Yoro, Mount? Superb to avoid a yellow for Casemiro and Ugarte, but I want Yoro to play in the final (fingers crossed) so he can't pick up a yellow. And obviously the other three need to be told to do absolutely nothing stupid.
Yes only a straight Red card or 2 yellows in the 2nd leg will ban anyone from fimalI don't know but checked the ruling. Sit out after 3 yellows but quoting the rules as per:
https://documents.uefa.com/r/Regula...024/25/Article-63-Yellow-and-red-cards-Online
"Exceptionally, all yellow cards and pending yellow-card suspensions expire on completion of the play-offs. They are not carried forward to the league phase. In addition, all yellow cards expire on completion of the quarter-finals. They are not carried forward to the semi-finals."
If I'm not mistaken, this means nobody can be banned for the final as the most yellows collectable before the final would be two.
When was that? Were those the odds going into today?
Feels so much better against Spanish pricks.
Take that you Spanish twats.
Christ that is pathetic.Imagine acting like this with Liverpool after Leverkusen beat both of us in 2002 or Benfica in 06
Should have went for that 4th. Didn't even attempt.
No complaints though. brilliant result in a semi final.
