I prefer Amad on right wing back to be honest. At RAM, he most likely have to fight with centerbacks. At WB, he'd fare better against fullbacks

It is a transfer that would make perfect sense for us , which unfortunately means it is probably not going to happen.
Mbeumo, cunha and delap for a combined 140m would be great business. Especially if we can offset most of that by selling Antony, rashford and Sancho.
Not often you get the chance to sign a player who has just scored 20+ in one of the bigger leagues. Exciting times if we get him.
Think the last few were Lukaku, Zlatan, van Persie and Cole.
Say what you will about Lukaku but he'd have been a massive upgrade on what we had this season and there was a lot of buzz over buying him at the time.

Agree very good business . If we can’t get a Gyokeres or Osimhen. This is the way to go. In theory potentially you have two wingers capable of 15-20 goal seasons. With Amad , Bruno and Mount if he stays fit chipping in.
RW/CF depending on the formation Frank plays I think. They sometimes play 3-5-2 where he goes up top with Wissa or Toney before that, but the other player would be the one mostly leading the line, he'd be deeper more often. Sometimes he's out wide in a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3.
Either way I suppose he finds himself in the pocket of the pitch where a slightly wider 10 would play, drifting there from the wing or centrally.
Suppose he can fill in as a CF at times as well if we need that, although he doesn't seem to fit the profile of Gyokeres or Delap due to him being a lot shorter. You never know in an emergeny though. Could be used there.
Would be perfect for R10. We'd have real firepower even if our striker is only Delap.

I get your point but these 2 would ready-made reliable goal scorers. We don't really have any of those (if Amad is RWB).

Quality over numbers. We will be selling most of our attackers and we’ll be signing a CF too

Describing them as no10’s as if they play the same way in the same position is a bit reductive no? You’ve got Cunha who plays from the left and carries the ball more centrally and Mbeumo who attacks from wide right.
We clearly need to sign a striker this window but I can’t understand anyone that could moan about us signing more attackers when outside of Amad we have literally nobody with any quality.

As we have seen, in this league you need some ridiculously strong options in the squad.
We lost Amad for a few months and went from little goalthreat to almost nothing. We had no one even close to his level.
With a guy like Mbuemo in the squad, our depth is much improved.

I’m sure I read it as that poster meaning 2 players competing for that 1 spot at AM and not Cunha AM and Garna LWB, as I read your reply! Guess it’ll be Cunha and Mount as the 2 AM’s on the left and I agree with you - Garnacho seems to be on his way out should a suitable offer arrive.
Cunha received two red cards/suspensions this season which is initially worrying. But they’re the first red cards of his career. So much is overblown about his attitude.

With Amad as RWB, then I think we would be so dangerous in attack that teams would struggle to attack themselves.
I don't expect us to get Gyokeres, but the same attack with Delap would still be dangerous.
Amad will probably be sold if we get him. I heard on the United.no podcast that Amad is among the players for sale this season and that 3 big foreign clubs are interested.

If Cunha and Mbeumo could repeat this seasons numbers next season for United, it would be a very different season. Two players in their prime.
Yeah exactly. Hopefully we can get this done, would be a great addition. I just hope we can shift a couple of players for decent fees early doors because if we can’t then that could really hinder our ability to get this done, especially if other clubs start sniffing around and they’ve got the funds ready to go.
