2025 UEFA Champions League final — Paris Saint-Germain vs Inter Milan | 5-0

Honestly, deep down you know this isn't a real issue. That was a league game, every goal matters for let's say the GD. Here the game was done and dusted, what would a 6th have changed ?
Ok, so in every knock out game we should end the game at 90 minutes if the score reaches a certain threshold? I guess it would also prevent any further injuries.

PSG still need to recruit this summer, they need to keep improving their team to retain their domestic league title, such a tough league

but in all seriousness, can amorim get us to play that enjoyable attacking football with his system? hmm, someone just tell it's possible please

You're being obtuse for no reason and comparing apples with oranges.
Obtuse means to be stupid.

I’m being stupid comparing ending a knock out cup game at 90 minutes if the score is at a certain threshold to ending a cup game (today) at 90 minutes because the score was 5-0?

Ok then.

You can't only pick what suits your argument though, PSG reached a final without home/away against Dortmund, Leipzig and Atalanta. This season they faced Liverpool, Aston villa and Arsenal. It's FAR more convincing.

Regardless, both teams made the final.

The run up is more convincing, yes, but the final isn't even close in terms of quality of opposition, and that has to be factored. Note that I'm not making an negative argument as to this current PSG team's accomplishment, which stands on its own merits, but It's not about them. It's about the previous question as to why the Mbappe and Neymar team didn't win the CL, and the answer is that one faced a great Bayern in the final, and the other faced a poorer Inter in the final. This is indisputable. Questioning why PSG couldn't beat a world class team in a final is an incredibly bad argument when in a single game, any great team can beat another.

"So all you have to do Jeff is wait for the guy to raise the trophy and press the button" "This one ?"

Watching Neves and Vitinha tonight - does Bruno still start for Portugal at the World Cup (regardless of what club he is at)?

Sure. He can improve us. But the state-backed teams will continue to improve faster, and indefinitely.

Dear god, in my next life please let me be born into a billionaire qatari family so I can buy a football club and win the CL.

That's not what I meant and you know it.

That's not the answer. There's no proof Mbappé and Neymar's PSG could have totally smothered Inter the way this team did, relentlessly pressing them to leave them out of options. Maybe they would have won, maybe not. The only sure thing is that this PSG team won 5-0.
