J stand barmy army.. all piss and wind...

The J stand sing, we dont know why
Cos after the match they're gonna die..

:D

Why is there a "rivalry" between the two stands? Aren't they both a part of the East stand?

J stand, k stand, who gives a fack...

There is only one stand worth sitting in and that is the Stretford End

why is there a "rivalry" between the supporters of the same team at all?

just seems silly to me.

It goes back to the days of an atmosphere at Old Trafford.

The K-Stand and the Stretford End used to bark at each other to get an atmosphere going.

In my very early days at OT, I used to sit on a crush bar with my dad in the Stretford End, before it became all Seater. One of the fondest memories is "K-Stand give us a song"

I think it was Ralphie who put it up a few weeks back, their usual response would be "We're the K-Stand we're harder than you"

It used to happen at Anfield, with the Annie Roaders singing "Kopites are gobshites."

It is just a bit of banter between stands. The Stretford End has always traditionally been the best place to sit when going to Old Trafford - mainly as it housed the hardcore fans back in the day. Over the years different areas of the ground have housed a good following thus resulting in a bit of banter ref the best place to sit etc. Harmless fun....

Well that's how it has been well I have been growing up, not sure if anyone else can shed any light on why specifically there is banter between the J/K stand?

All i can add is that genreally the calls from K to us in J are to "give us a song", to which we generally respond with nothing but silence...

Some prat thought it would be a good idea to put the Family Stand and exec seats in the Stretty. Another nail in the atmosphere's coffin.

Theres been rivalry amonst United fans for years.

The Stretford end would taunt the main stand and the United Road end would have a dig at just about anyone...

Its what made it fun..

They should put away fans up in NT3, move the family stand to the front of the south stand and then let the rowdy feckers have the Stretford end and the whole of the East stand including all four quadrants.

That way you'd get a complete circle of noise..

And give the scousers aim to chuck pooh over the execs? will never happen. But I agree whole heartedly.

It would shut them up too.

Yeah but think about it

Scousers up on NT3.. United fans in East, North, West and South.

By the time the scousers had got down the stairs the United lot would be sat merrily waiting for them at the bottom.

One wrong move and they get volleyed up and down SMBW

Yes, but, they will crap in their hands and throw it down on the tier below, much like the common chimp, but without the class.

Like I say, I agree thats where away fans should be, but it just won't happen.

The away feckers get a good view I had to sit there for the FA cup match against Portsmouth last season when they had the east.

I think newcastle stick the away fans up with the gods and we should follow suite.

Why should the away fans get a better view than most of ours?

What are you talking about *completely mystified emoticon*

That banner is sheeeite son. No thought has gone in to it what so ever, and who ever planned and paid for it should hang their heads in shame.

Even the scousers have a superb tifo that gets passed around, representing what they feel has made them great. All we can do is have a picture of Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs?

Been under both of these at a lot of home games of my local team APOEL in the Cypriot League. if in a stadium that fits 20,000 people we had the biggest greek flag in the world and a huge banner as well then I think United can do better than an average Giggs and Neville Banner

It was a one off banner, and was fitting for the occassion paying repsect to two of our best. I can't remember who we were playing on teh day but i have a vague memory that whoever it was made the banner all the more appropriate.

It's shit. It was against Chelski IIRC, and it was shit then, and it is shit now.

even though it takes the piss out of us, this is a great hand made flag, far better than that expensive picture.

I challange you to think of something which would have riled the Chelski fans more than seeing Ryan and Gary 100ft x 100ft parading "their" trophy. It was perfectly judged humour.

Huzzah, really a lot of thought went into it. I can just imagine the meeting

"We reallly want to piss the Chelski fans off"
"Lets have a massive tifo"
"Yeah"
"What can we put on it?"
"Err, how about we take a picture of Giggs and Neville with a trophy, the same trohpy Chelski fans have watched us win for years!"
"Yeah man, that'll cause carnage amongst their ranks!"

Pathetic attempt. Whoever organises these things needs to go spend a week with ultras planning a proper display and learn how to do it.
