new home kit

It £40 you cheap fecks, not bad considering you'd wear it twice a week.

I could spend that on a night out, one night.. drinks, drugs, entry, cab and kebab.

Sory to repost, I have read everyone's replies, but hey the amount of clothes people buy each year why shoud we bother that much about spending another £40 .. I agree in one way we are being wripped off.. on the other...

Anyone know of any good sites they use to get this shirt at a "special rate" .. also where is the best place to get the felt lettering? I seem to remember discussing this last year around this time, but can't remember the suggestions. Would be pleased of any good links that could be posted??

Not sure about the first question but do not get the lettering done at a JJB Sports or one of those stores.

Bloody agree......fecks sake £40 and you lot are giving out like the Glazers just stabbed you all in the back!

We've had one of the best summer spending sprees that i can remember and you wanna moan about £40? in my case its €60....big fecking deal, will spend twice that on a night out in town.

Nobody is putting a gun to your friggin head and forcing you to buy it, if it makes you feel any better think of it as helping your club out...as foreign as that may sound to some of you:wenger::rolleyes:

Ok mate, thanks for the advice, has anyone had their shirt lettered up at the OT megastore before? Do they do felt lettering there?

have had my sons shirts done up the meagstore, the print is identical to the shirts the team wear, i think it cost me 17 quid per jersey to get done which included the badges for the sleeves
It might be expensive but the lettering or badges aint come off at all on any of his strips.

I wish my nights out would only cost £40

Prozzies are expensive these days.

Agreed.

Although it is a bit shit how they've managed to get around the 2 year rule again...3new kits too.

£40 x 2 for last season
£40 x 2 this seasons

That's £160 on shirts for one person. What about those with kids? You can add another £100 on to that. This is without even stepping foot into Old Trafford.

I wear it a lot...I get use out of it so it's no problem for me.

Can see why it would be for some though.

Buy what your finances will let you, no one is sticking a gun to your head and saying:

"buy all three kits, cnut"

The Chelsea new kit thread made me feel like bumping this one. Who's with me in thinking this season's kit is the best we've had since the 70s? I fecking love it! Totally pure and classic bar the stripe on the back. But even that's grown on me and I don't hate it any longer. Putting on the black version with Scholes' name and number on the back is the best 'kit feeling' I've had since I was a little kid.

Agreed. It is classic and modern at the same time. The stripe has really grown on me as well.

Still don't like the red one, much prefer last season's home kit.

You cant call it "Totally pure and classic bar the stripe on the back" - that quite a contradiction.

I think last years was better - based upon the circa 57 Busby kit with the white V neck.

Yep, last year's kit was the best we've had since the turn of the century.

Last years shirt was better. There is something wrong about the color in our present one. The black kit is ace though, it`s the only one I got this season.

Like someone said in the Chelsea thread, Fulhams kit with our colors would be great. Plain, classic and with a collar.

The black is really nice. As far as home kits go, i thought last seasons was the best we'd had in donkeys. I like the current one but last season's was nicer IMO.

I thought this year's kit was wank, especially that stupid stripe on the back that looks like the tags haven't been taken off. B

ut each to their own I guess, I personally wouldn't be seen dead wearing a replica kit.

Why's that?

I always wear them for work - they're the only thing that doesnt need ironing

Although i admit i dont wear them too games....

Haha I'v got a black away with Scholes on the back... you have long or short sleeved?

PS I still think the nicest home kit we've had for a long long time was the 2002 - 2004 one (red with the black accents). HAWT. I'd wear my Van Nistelrooy 10 from 2003 if it still fit...

If nike wont give us a collar then could they just please feck off and let adidas do it for us?

here ill give you a collar

Guys, a stupid question, are football players shirts made of polyester like the replicas or cotton?

Cos I think it looks sad to see a grown man wearing a replica shirt (unless they're playing football of course) - they look cheap and tacky.

I've never understood the fascination with the kit we play in. It's a friggin' kit, nothing more...

What the hell is up with those shoes?

He must be trying to get an extra 10k a week out of Uncle Malc with that red white and blue outfit.

They're made of the same stuff i believe.

But shouldn't it be cotton? I mean, polyester, wtf? Their body needs to breathe and be confortable in the shirt and for example I hate polyester clothes on bare skin, especially when it's hot. I would assume that replica shirts are synthetic so that they last more.
